Hematocrit question
I am thinking about changing when I get a
phlebotomy
to whenever my Hematocrit is over 43 which could bring it down to 40 or under. Any problem with that? Currently just
phlebotomy
& aspirin. 76 years old male. I basically make decisions myself as I don't have a MPN specialist

I have been sent a letter from diabetes clinic which was crossed off & inked in with "endocrinogy" letter appt.
But I was on 125mcg of levo, so I experienced weird symptoms, so I was about to drop the 125 of Levo to 112 levo when out of the blue I got the letter from diabetes clinic to get
phlebotomy
test, which I got on Friday.

82 y/o with PV on Hydrea, having problem with getting good flow of blood on phlebotomy.
Maybe I should exercise before the
phlebotomy
. Otherwise, am doing well, feeling well. Doing well with Hydrea. Will discuss further with my hematologist on my visit this month. Any suggestions? Appreciate your input.

Liver enzymes up on Besremi
I had to have a
phlebotomy
a couple of weeks ago. I’m disappointed for obvious reasons. They have also taken me off Nattokinase and don’t want me to take milk thistle. I don’t think they REALLY think that will hurt my liver but are grasping at whatever is not western medicine.

Reducing phlebotomy in hemodialysis patients
Because routine venous access for IV therapy or
phlebotomy
is limited to one unilateral arm for those of us who are dialysis patients many of us have poor access in the remaining limb for blood draws or IV therapy possibly secondary to scarring through multiple attempts at enous access.

Update
I decided to delay starting T3 and the
phlebotomy
. I dropped T4 from 188 to 144 mcg. It's been about a week and so far so good. Dry mouth is better. That's very much a relief. Still not normal but getting there. dding extra Vitamin D is helping it also I think. Mood is still about the same.

HCT 45.1
Should I request a
phlebotomy
or wait to see what my HCT is in 2 weeks? At what point do they decide to up the Besremi? Is this what happens? You are doing good for awhile but our bodies are always trying to reach abnormal numbers? Medicine always having to increase? I hope not.

Thyroid Results
Starting
phlebotomy
soon. Protein is 9.8 and the range is 6-8.5. ALT and AST also went up above range. Not sure what that is about...So anyway my doctor agreed to add T3 and reduce T4 to see if it helps my dry mouth. Hope it helps...Dont know what else to do.

Re testing all patients on b12 injections
I attended the
phlebotomy
appointment and said that I had a diagnosis in 2017 and did not want an unnecessary, invasive test when I had already been diagnosed.

Mayo Clinic Received a totally different approach to managing my MPN
Can anyone tell me about their experience with
Phlebotomy
only. Kinda scared to just do that and stop Besremi. Any advice is appreciated as this is causing a lot of anxiety.

Itchiness is fading away...
I have had PV for ten years and am a 66 year old male. Phlebotomies & aspirin worked well for that time. Aquagenic priurits (itchiness on contact with water) had become unbearable by June 2022. I went onto 500mg per day HU (Hydroxyurea). The itchiness started to decrease and now after 6 months has almost

PV with MS
No
phlebotomy
needed other numbers are not any different. I am still waiting to get Besremi. Insurance is still not wanting to cover it. I had a MRI and found out I have MS too. I know both can be treated with intferon.

now my local Heme/onc says I have ET not PV and it matters how they treat me.
It was 44.5 2 weeks ago and I had a
phlebotomy
. I know one
phlebotomy
won’t bring it down to under 42. I told her today that I felt much better when my HCT was below 42. MUCH better. She would not acknowledge me. I asked for another and she said I have to wait for todays lab results.
