I take very high doses of levothyroxine and liothyronine and feel great when I do, there doesn't seem to be any side effects caused by them. However, I have developed blood pressure (genetic cause) and I've been given Amlodipine. Any thoughts as to what the combo will do to me?

Did they initially try to reduce your thyroid meds? Mine did, but I know that my bp is genetic and it's worse when I'm not optimally medicated for thyroid.
Hello,You don’t mention the strength of the blood pressure med you are on.
Myself, I had my thyroid killed off 11 years ago. As I transitioned over to replacements ( currently on NDTs) my blood pressure was still high at the time. Years now on proper dosing, I no longer need blood pressure drugs regularly. I will take blood pressure first in morning. If high, I take blood pressure drug. Seldom do I need it.
When was the last time they did a full blood test work up?
hi, I have had several full blood workups lately, fighting to access results but I know that my t3 and t4 are over range. I didn't realise you take them when your bp is high, and don't when it's not. That's interesting.
