GERD/Reflux/bloating
Wondering if anyone has found a miracle cure for this? So far tried grain, free dairy free diet, lowish FODMAPs, probiotics, HCL with Betaine & Pepsin, digestive enzymes. Anything else worth trying? Would be great if my daughter's guts would settle down in time for her A levels. TIA.

PPIs & GERD: Inflammation, Not Acid, Cause of Gastro-Eosophageal Reflux Disease, Study Suggests

GERD/Reflux = Panic Attacks?
I was taking
pepcid
AC and my doctor told me to try Prilosec. This seemed to help but I finished the 14 day dose so I didn't want to go past that before seeing my doctor. I have a GI appt scheduled for April 2nd. In any event, I went to a BBQ fest yesterday and had one pork sandwhich and a beer.

iron/B12
Hi, would love your advice please. My ferritin level never goes beyond 30 (typical range over last 10 years= 16-29) despite taking floradix or iron supplements and my B12 remained unaffected by mega doses of B12 supplements until I injected. I'm assuming I have an absorption/gut problem (because I eat

Acid reflux link
Hello. I had tests and a scan last year for irregular bowel movements and was told I had a contracted gall bladder and low TSH (I didn't know what that meant) and would have 6 monthly blood tests. This summer discovered I had a lump in myneck and scan seemed to show a multi-nodular goitre, with one very

Can Somebody Advise Me on a Safe Painkller with PA?
I'm hoping somebody can help me here. I have avoided painkillers for years due to low stomach acid. However, I now find myself in a position where I'm going to have to take some. What would you advise? I will be able to take a couple of betaine HCL with pepsin when I take any painkillers and I will take

Betaine hcl
Hi, I don't seem to be absorbing B12 and I get very bloated and I seemed to have become lactose intolerant. So I did the sodium bicarbonate test to check for low stomach acid and I didn't burp at all. I tried taking Betaine hcl with Pepsin. I started with a small dose and gradually increased it. I

stopped ppi!
Hi all After reading and discussing this issue with many people I have stopped my lansoprazol!!! Taken since 2008 My main reason for stopping them was my daughter had a stomach bug and I was under the impression that taking these makes you more prone to catching it as they suppress your own stomach

Treating Low Stomach Acid
I have been suffering from chronic GERD (indigestion/ stomach acid) for ages. So my GP gave a script for a giant bottle of Gaviscon (the type that contains potassium hydrogen carbonate) I took a dose and -oh my goodness - I had the worse acid attack I've had in years. I stupidly thought I hadn't taken

When to take Betaine HCL supplements?
Hi there! I'm a little confused on the usage of Betaine HCL. I am aware that it is mainly used to digest protein rich foods like meat. However what about bread, dairy, eggs and so on? Looking at the packaging of a lot of things I've been unaware so many things contain protein and some even rival meat
