Combining ADHD and Anxiety meds for inattentive type? Please share your experience...
The
Paxil
seems to help so we don’t want to take him off of that. Anyone have experience with teen taking an SSRI like
Paxil
along with a med like Clonidine or Intuniv?

Paxil Increase Woes
Dr. started me on
Paxil
CR 12.5. After a little over a month on it, I went back to her for follow up visit. I was past the side effects and starting to feel good. During our discussion it was discovered she had told me to double the dose after a week! Guess I forgot.

Hi all it's been 5 weeks now I do feel better in a way but not as good as I thought I would,I am getting out more and eating properly again but my mood is so changeable thouout the day from anxiety to feeling down and crying to angry,is this normal to happen before the med fully kicks in?

Overcoming Anxiety
Most of the other antidepressants I have tried seem to make me more anxious, so I have stuck with
Paxil
. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who might like to comment on my predicament.

I have been on

Teen starting Focalin along with Paxil
Psychiatrist prescribed low dose Focalin last week but also stay on the
Paxil
. We will start the Focalin tomorrow. I’m nervous! I know that all of the available meds affect people differently but hoping for some tips and positive outcomes? Thank you in advance!!

Updates to my mental health
I am also in the process of being tapered off of
Paxil
and switched to Cymbalta, so if anyone has anything to add about their experiences with Cymbalta, please share them. I've made some progress in therapy but things have gotten a little bit difficult.

Went there did that
Going off my
Paxil
is one culprit and another is this life that I only have some control over. How to make my kiddos have a fun day when I have no car and feel like dying. It makes me feel so guilty and depressed.

Paroxetine aka Paxil - Last Chance Saloon......
After an almost 3 HOUR (!) appointment with my psychiatrist yesterday after my GP wrote to him saying that he had grave concerns about my suicidal ideation, it has now been agreed that I will start Paroxetine at a low dose. I now also have a further tweak to my diagnosis - adding in Briquet's Syndrome

Im okay
I don’t have time for a full life update at the moment because lunch is almost over but I see my doctor on Monday and I’m going to push to try
Paxil
. It’s the only thing covered by my insurance I haven’t tried yet. I’ll try and do a full update later tonight for anyone interested.

Geographic distribution of members and using what names for drugs you take!
E.g. generic drug paroxetine has trade names which include Aropax, Brisdelle, Deroxat,
Paxil
, Pexeva, Paxtine, Paxetin, Paroxat, Paraxyl, Sereupin, Daparox and Seroxat. So ideally have: venlafaxine (Efexor XL) along with dosage per day It would IMO make things much clearer between all of us.

Paxil for anxiety
I've been reading terrible reviews on
Paxil
but thats what my doctor prescribed. BTW, I'm not depressed. I just have high anxiety (especially at night) dealing with a physical issue (that I'm taking medication for). Does anyone have any positive experiences with
Paxil
?

Hard week for me
I’ve had anxiety disorder for a long time and took
Paxil
with great results, until it stopped working about 2 years ago, Doc switched me to Prozac which didn’t work at all and then to Zoloft which worked pretty well, but now I find myself depressed and lethargic occasionally.

16 year old with anxiety, newly diagnosed with ADHD inattentive - seeking advice
He's still on
Paxil
, 10 mg. Next week we meet with the Psychiatrist and will discuss meds to help him with the ADHD. I've read everything possible, it feels like, about available meds - but my head is spinning. My son is worried about having to go off of the

July Life Update (warning, part of this might bring people down so skip what I suggest if you need to)
I’ve looked at what my insurance does cover and I’m going to ask to try
Paxil
as it’s the only thing covered I haven’t tried. I could be a lot worse. Zoloft does help keep me from getting so bad that I want to hurt myself, but I am so fatigued and numb.
