Hi I've been on paxil for 2 weeks today my anxiety has calmed down a little and I'm not as tied in the mornings, but I still get restless legs and jaw clenching quite a bit.i do find if I take 1mg of diazipan first thing in the morning makes me feel alot better for the rest of the day I just worry about the addive affects of diazipan,

Now I'm showing that paxil has started working will it start working better over the next couple of weeks or is this the best it's going to get?

All I can suggest is you follow any advice you have from your Doctor. At the moment I am having to do the same thing, I listen and understand I need to follow the pathway directed for me.

You need to allow time for your medications to work, approx five weeks

Hi Frenchy1292 and welcome to this caring forum. It is good to hear that your anxiety has calmed down a little. Bob has given some excellent advice regarding following the guidance you have received from your doctor. Also, please follow your doctor's advice regarding taking diazepam as it is addictive. It may also help you to receive one of the talking therapies, such as cognitive behavioural therapy. Please see the following website for more information--

Your doctor would be able to refer you for this therapy. Are any other members able to help Frenchy1292 please?

Thank you and best wishes.
