side effects of Sotalol

Private EP Question
It’s been awhile, but I do check the forum regularly and would like to say thank you for all you regular posters. It’s been hugely helpful to “listen on” your Afib conversations. Brief recap of my journey so far. Diagnosed 2020 and really struggled first while getting used to the meds, the diagnosis

Follow-up?
I was diagnosed with atrial flutter/afib almost two years ago. Currently, it's paroxysmal, mostly presenting as flutter episodes lasting about 30 minutes, occurring roughly three times a year. I understand atrial flutter/afib can sometimes progress to more frequent or longer episodes over time. I know

Post aura migraine aura????
Another weird syptom after the ablation on Tuesday. I have had an aura lasting 15 minutes almost every day since then. I normally have occasional auras with no headaches, but these are more frequent. Anybody else with similar symptoms and how long did they last?

Wellue users and True Afib
I am using a 24 hour Wellue device. I am an ER Nurse and well versed in ECG readings. My Wellue is interpreting Atrial Fibrillation, but I am skeptical. I have frequent PACs, Atrial Tachycardia in 2-7 beat runs, and blocked PACs. Have any of you had this experience? Being educated in reading them, do

fatigue wit afib. Will ablation help?
I have had increased fatigue and less ability to exercise since I have had afib and aflutter with high heart rate the last 7 years. I am finally having an ablation in August. Has anyone found it helps with fatigue. I really can’t make it through a day now without a nap, and must sleep at least 7-9 hrs

Will it, won’t it?
My AFib occurs roughly every 3-5 weeks and ranging from 12-30 hrs. I am going into hospital next Friday 26th for surgery under an GA and have to take my last apixaban Tuesday evening. Pre op said it was unlikely surgery would go ahead if I was in Afib. I’ve been waiting a year for surgery so I obviously

When to take PIP flecainide?
Unfortunately my paroxysmal AF has significantly worsened lately and I am awaiting an ablation. In the meantime my consultant has put me back on flecainide 50mg bi daily plus an additional up to 100mg as PIP if AF kicks in. I’m now in AF almost every week for a few hours. Before it starts I frequently

Neck and Shoulder Pain
thank you for this great group. I had an asymptomatic afib incident in March which I was given a cardioversion. My afib subsided for a short time and then on a follow up with my EP I was scheduled for and received an ablation (radio frequency) on June 7, still asymptomatic except now for the last month

When to call doctor
Hi all. I was diagnosed with afib last July. I had a cardioversion and was prescribed Eliqiuis and propofenone (a heart rhythm regulator). I had no problems until I drank a little too much wine at a wedding . Now, my heart rate is somewhat erratic and can jump to 160 periodically. It has been like

First night on Buprenorphine
So today I took 0.2 mg of Buprenorphine, thinking it was better to start low. The effect was incredible. My legs didn't move at all. In fact, the effect was so effective that I even got scared. My body was so relaxed. I got a little anxious that I may not wake up if I felt sleep. I layed there amazed

Bisoprolol
Hi Just wondering about my dosage of Bisoprol. When I read related posts on here, most people seem to be on a maximum of 5mg. I’m on 12.5 which I take at night. At my most recent appointment with my cardiologist in March, I asked if it could be reduced as I get so tired on an afternoon and I often have

When to take Azidem with Paroxysmal AFib?
I’m into 5 days of AFib. Doesn’t feel too bad except when lying on side. Heart rate between 92-120. When I’ve had AFib before it lasts up to a week and goes away on its own. I don’t know why it starts or stops. If by day 7 it is carrying on should I start Adizem? I was prescribed some when I first

Now in Persistent Atrial Fibrillation
I was diagnosed with PAF about 23 years ago, and have managed it with medication, at present on 300mg of Flecainide daily, along with Bisoprolol 2.5mg and Apixaban 10mg, For the last 6 months I've been in AF for weeks and then a couple of day I'm in rhythm. I don't want an ablation. Would I receive

I finally got my sublingual buprenorhine!
Hi everybody! Thanks to this forum I finally got a neurologist who was willing to prescribe me 0.2mg sublingual buprenorphine tablets. I've been on 100 tramadol for two weeks and was wondering which would be the wiser way of switching from one to the other and finding the right dose. I'm a bit worried

Stopping an Afib?
I'm very interested to hear of any methods that you've found that actually stops your Afib and restores NSR.Mine always last 15-24 hours and always returns to NSR while I'm asleep. Flecainide has never improved this scenario and my EP has advised me to stop taking it. I've read peoples stories on here

Bothersome side effect from afib
A bothersome side effect that I have experienced when I have an episode of AFib is very frequent urination about every 20 minutes for 1 1/2 hours. Is that side effect treatable? I understand it is caused by a fibrillating atria that releases a cardiac hormone called atrial natriuretic peptide.
