Pacemaker not needed apparently
I have just had my first year
pacemaker
checkup. The technician said he is stopping my PM from pacing as my heart has been in normal rhythm for a year! I’ve only had it a year. Had it been implanted necessarily? My heart is now beating normally by itself. Anyone else had this happen?

Emotional effects bisoprolol and pacemaker.
My wife’s about to come off bisoprolol after
pacemaker
fitted. Sounds like you have to come off them gradually. Could the tablets be causing her depression maybe. ☹️ Didn’t realise they had had an emotional effect. 👍👍👍👍

Following Cardioversion....
node ablation would be the next step but possibly with a
pacemaker
too. Have I misunderstood this? She did go into an awful lot of detail that I couldn't take in so I admit I could be wrong. Is it a choice of one or the other?

A positive outcome of my long journey & hopefully some encouragement for anyone who has pericarditis or is struggling with their pacemaker
He asked how I was getting on with my
pacemaker
, I said I get pain and discomfort every day from it. pressed around my
pacemaker
and it was pretty painful , I was jumping in pain if that makes sense .

Pace part of pace and ablate
I know some of you have said the
pacemaker
alone has helped but then I read somewhere that it would only be activated when the final bit was done, Thanks in anticipation x

I saw my cardiologist last week and he said as my
pacemaker

Syncope
Good morning, I have a
pacemaker
and AV node which was to stop syncope of which I only had one. However when my
pacemaker
was finally set with limits of 80 120 BPM, after a few days I passed out for only a few seconds and recovered quickly.

Pacemaker moved
I’ve had my
pacemaker
almost 11 months, the last few months I’ve been getting lots of discomfort and sometimes it’s very painful around my
pacemaker
. I’m seeing my cardiologist Tuesday about this problem, tonight it feels like it’s got closer to the surface as it looks and feels more prominent .

Dangerously low potassium
I am in permanent AF with a
pacemaker
, so I didn't really understand that. After 8 hours on a drip, my level was back to 3.6. They think it is the diuretics. I think it was the blood loss. Anyway I am to see my GP here tomorrow. Any thoughts?

ablation - types and pacemaker
Afib ablation involves the AV node and therefore a
pacemaker
is needed. Is everyone who had afib ablation on a
pacemaker
? Irrespective of any of the above, I believe and feel in my heart that the recovery period (7 days) told to me by the medics is wrong and for SVT it is more like 3 months.

Running post pacemaker
Does anyone know if my heart rate going higher than my
pacemaker
upper limit is going to cause me problems and what symptoms I would suffer which would suggest I need to have the
pacemaker
further tweaked. I felt fine during and after the run.

Pacemaker clinic advice
I recently has my
pacemaker
adjusted but asked for it to be put back to what it was before the settings. They did this but i don't feel much difference and feel they haven't put it back to what it originally was and I was not feeling like this. What do I do? Its stressing me out.

Geoffa1 ablation recovery
Had my 6 mth follow up echocardiogram,
pacemaker
read out and EP visit. Very positive outcome,
pacemaker
proves no AFIB since ablation and echocardiogram very good. No longer on beta blocker just Zarelto.

Change to my pacemaker
HI, i had a

Stomach issue's
I have AF and a
pacemaker
fitted. I have to have the camera down, there is either something wrong or the beta blockers are causing problems ( Could be either ) I don't want to have it done, had it done twice before and both experiences were horrendous.

How often you get checked
I have a
pacemaker
/defibrillator in situ. How often my specialist should be checking on me and how soon I wonder I can be added to a transplant list (preliminary tests have been done already and ok). I’m terrified of just dying of sudden cardiac death :-(

Sick sinus syndrome and afib
Does this mean a
pacemaker
implant option must to be taken into consideration ? Can a
pacemaker
better control or even prevent AFib ? Note: holter ecg results have been reviewed by my cardiologist who said it's nothing to worry about. I don't trust my doctor.

Pacemaker and stents
Is it possible to have a
pacemaker
fitted at same time as having stents fitted following a heart attack. My hubby had HA in August and had 2 stents fitted. During 2 conversions with GP he is insisting hubby also has a
pacemaker
fitted.
