I have a pacemaker and AV node which was to stop syncope of which I only had one. However when my pacemaker was finally set with limits of 80 120 BPM, after a few days I passed out for only a few seconds and recovered quickly. After checks taken by the Cardiology department my pacemaker was working as it should.
As I have been suffering with a stiff neck and a permanent slight headache i have been advised to see a Neurologist, due 12 November.
Anyone else had similar episodes of passing out??? would be very interested to hear from you all
Cheers

Hi Golfer, I had a dual chamber pacemaker fitted over 9 years ago due to syncope and v low heart rate, this happened quite a lot after my 2nd ablation. Fast forward to this year I have had 3 episodes of syncope which has lasted from about 40secs to a few minutes. When I had my pacemaker checked at the clinic in June, I mentioned the one I had In April 21, and she said there is something there and she will let the heart clinic know. In August I had the 2nd Syncope and at the end of August I spoke to the consultant on the phone, he sent me for an echo and within a few days I had the 3rd syncope. I got a phone call from the pacemaker clinic on a Friday asking can you come in on Monday morning, we need to check your pacemaker again and the consultant will speak to you also.
All 3 episodes coincided when I was apparently in VT with heart rate well above 200, again I am not sure. What the clinic has done is changed the settings for the bottom lead, I must admit the other day was the first time i felt the bottom lead working in quite a while.
They also gave me a home monitoring kit, which I am afraid does not work with my pacemaker, so will have to take it back.
