Pacemaker followed by an angiogram?
I now have a
pacemaker
. The angiogram has been left in place, but can be cancelled if I am Ok. What counts as Ok? I have no angina symptoms, but seem to get out of breath very easily at the moment. Any information would be really appreciated.

dbs and massage chairs
THis might sound trival but I cannot find a good full massage chair which is
pacemaker
/DBS friendly. They all exclude people with these devices. Same goes for vibration plates. I get it, they both emit electromagnetic fields. So does my microwave and phone.

Extreme fatigue 2 years after valve replacement
And a
pacemaker
fitted. I have been well since but in the last month I have started to get breathless (not too bad) and extreme fatigue. After 12hrs sleep I struggle out if bed and by lunchtime I am so exhausted. I am worried my valve is failing again, any ideas?

Being off eliquis for surgery
how is being off Eliquis for 3 days handled for
pacemaker
battery change. Is another drug used to prevent stroke possibility? How challenging is it to have the PM battery changed? I have AF & Arterial Flutter. I am mildly symptomatic. I'm on Eliquis 5 mg twice a day.

Morning I have a
pacemaker
and wondered how going through airport security works. Are they any steps I need to complete beforehand? Can I go through normal body scanners or am I exempt? Do I need a Drs note for exemption? Any advice on travelling via Eurostar and/or flying welcomed.

Pace Maker lead caused Valve complications post TAVI
My mother recently had a TAVI procedure which resulted in her requiring an emergency permanent
pacemaker
fitted. Since being discharged (a day after her Op) her breathlessness has limited her ability to even make it to the toilet.

Any experience of a Florida Cardiologist
After telling my son I have been advised to have a
pacemaker
he began searching on the Web for information and came up with the name of a cardiologist Dr Pradip Jamnadas who advocates intermittent fasting to cure atrial fibrillation. Has anyone here heard of this method?

Do you have persistent or long-standing AF?
You may also be taking medications, have previously experienced an intervention such as a catheter ablation, cardioversion or a
pacemaker
.

information to share
I am sharing because I got a
pacemaker
just a month ago. Obviously those of us with one should be aware. They warned to keep the phone away from us, but I am curious how much more damage could happen with this is part of the case

I am also considering having a
pacemaker
fitted so I can improve my quality of life and exercise without a relatively acute shortness of breath at high periods of exertion. Has anyone else experienced this, how have you coped and has anyone opted to have a
pacemaker
?

Knowledge Isn't Enough
Now, I couldn't take any stimulants anyway because the chemo attacked my heart, and I have heart failure with a
pacemaker
/defibrillator. That should give you enough background, but feel free to ask. Well, of course I still have ADHD!

Ongoing investigation
I really do wish I had more knowledge about AV ablation and
pacemaker
insertion before I accepted the procedure. Maybe breathing exercises, an inhaler and anxiety meds may be the answer but I have doubts but more than willing to try.

Annual pace maker check
Pleased to report, all's good in the world of my
pacemaker
, got about 4years battery life left in it. Anyone else feel a bit freaked out when they slow down and then speed up your heart? It gets me every time, even though I know it's coming 😳
