pacemaker question
my uncle is doing very well but getting odd shocks and tonight had a strong one. He said it’s still tender, he does have AF so would expect him to get shocks. He is only 9 months post double bypass and valve repair. He is trying to walk but weather hasn’t helped. He’s got a 24 hour monitor on Sunday

Valve problems...
He's 73, has a
pacemaker
, with the battery successfully changed in January. His mental health isn't great at the best of times, and we feel at the moment that we're just staring into the abyss...

AV nodeablation!
The only thing that puts me off is the fact that I will be totally reliant on the
pacemaker
! Thoughts please!

Procedure carried out in June 2022 and I did end up with 3rd heart block and a
pacemaker
insertion. Before the procedure I was prescribed various beta blockers and amiodarone but none of the meds worked. Since June 2022 I still struggle, weakness in my legs, anxiety, breathlessness, cough.

Pacing clinic appointment
Also recently been prescribed bisoporol again, will the
pacemaker
settings need to be tweaked to take into account a decrease in HR?

AFib during Pilates
I have occasional AFib and a
pacemaker
. At the start of my weekly Pilates class (which I do for a sore back) I had a fast heart rate (112bpm) but went ahead with it (having informed the instructor).

Revitive with a mechanical valve
I know they’re not recommended for people with a
pacemaker
but does anyone out there with a mechanical value have one? I would ask my cardiologist but don’t have an appointment until next year and of course, this warm weather makes it worse. Thanks all

Should I be having a
pacemaker
put in. Also seen x-ray looks as if new heart valve is on the right lower down and I have three sets of titanium wires. Any help advice appreciated. Many Thanks.

anterior wall afib ablation update from April 28th
Here in Arkansas, they did tests including my
pacemaker
interrogation… Whooo Hooo, it showed NSR 99+%, less than 1% out, but NOT afib! Never give up, I wish I had followed Cleveland Clinic DR advice 4 years ago, following up with a 3rd ablation after the first 2 did not resolve the afib.

PSADT question...plus Xofigo and comorbidities
I am a renal patient on hemodialysis and I have a
pacemaker
that prevents me from having MRIs. My renal failure has affected treatment choices, but also I have to think about side effects like diarrhea, since I am hooked to machines for 5 hours three times a wk.

Pacemaker Anxiety
I am shortly to have a biventricular
pacemaker
fitted and have opted for defibrillator back up. Was very pleased when this was suggested for my heart failure for which medication treatment is restricted by my kidney disease. (Yep. I'm a bit of a wreck !)

AV Node Ablation and Pacemaker
Then a
pacemaker
regulates the ventricle action instead. Does anyone have experience of this? Seems I have plenty of time to think about it! 🤔

Why is heart muscle failure so difficult to live with?
I was diagnosed with an EF of 25% and now take regular medication after an unsuccessful
pacemaker
implant. It's quite scary knowing your heart is not working properly.

Hello All After having an AV node ablation a few months back, the right hand lead in
pacemaker
is a problem for me I am sensitive to and cannot not be turned on, hence left hand leads pacing on on left hand side of heart which is causing me quite severe breathing problems which the hospital know about
