It seems I'm a fraud ! I don't have AF after all and my ICD is on hold
My
pacemaker
is now on hold pending stabilisation of my heart post-ablation. While my 'heart' would like to get to the end of this episode of my life as soon as possible, my head says these things can't be rushed; the fitting of a
pacemaker
is a big deal.

CPAP weaning!
I did however have a
pacemaker
fitted a few years after stopping the cpap, then eventually developed PAF last year. My wife noticed the strange breathing again so I was retested and found to have severe apnea! So now have a machine again. Again, I've never noticed any benefit with the cpap.

Newbie needs advice
The tooth was removed via his neck and because he was on blood thinners he bled heavily. ( he has
pacemaker
). This eventually healed ( although they cut through lymph nodes, so heās lost full control of lips on one side), we were away for the August bank holiday and he felt v tired and lethargic.

Pacemaker Stitches
hi, my husband ( age 80 ) had his
pacemaker
put in 3 days ago and has dissolvable stitches which must be kept dry for 7 days The physiologist told me he can use the shower (ours is not a fixed overhead one ) but must keep the wound, which is on the left, dry.

Improvement
I was getting a bit morose since Iām on maximum medication and have been deemed unsuitable for a
pacemaker
due to infection fears, so, as my EP said, āThereās nowhere to go from here.ā Yes there is. Onwards and upwards !!! š

I'm new here
Last 5th July 2018 I had a
Pacemaker
implanted and next 10th August 2018 I am to have the second procedure, AV Node Ablation. In 2000 I had a Mechanical Mitral Valve installed and since then have had problems with AFib. There were 6 successful Cardio Versions, successful for awhile anyway.

Update
Pacemaker
fitted eventually. Bored and skinny! Seen Brighton Hospital from every possible angle as been moved a dozen times between wards. Staff have been amazing from Surgeons to the angels who sat with me through some dark times holding my hand and reassuring me.

Pacemakers and travelators
Had my
pacemaker
fitted 10 weeks ago and was told the usual things to avoid such as magnets. Ive since read somewhere that you should avoid those travelator systems in supermarkets as they use magnetism to stop the trolleys moving backwards.
