Hi Millie, i had carboplatin and paclitaxol in 2014, I'm really pleased that the treatment has worked for me so far. My teeth have been affected by my chemo, I've had to have 4 taken out, some fillings a veneer and now it seems I'm going to need a denture as some more are loose. It's a little frustrating but it's a balance I suppose, I'm still alive and able to have dental work carried out. Hope you are as well as you can be. Take care ❤️Xx Jane

Thanks, I'm also feeling all the teeth are going and wondering

If it's time for dentures instead of doing all this pulling . I guess I'll make a decision after my appointment with new dentist this

Week. Be well sister warrior

Thanks💕

I've had so much bleeding of the gums and loose teeth since Avastin but the treatment center I go to won't acknowledge it's due to the Avastin! My teeth hurt all the time.. I am grateful to be here and celebrate each day I wake up even if I'll probably be toothless one day! Blessings to you!

My previous treatment was avastin and it did wear my teeth down well wear the enamel down on my teeth. My dentist gave me a prescription paste to rebuild the enamel and recommended the Philips Sonicare Plus. Really like the Philips Sonicare which was $130, amazing brush it cleans like a professional dental tool! They have it at Costco. So worth the splurge my teeth look and feel good again. I upped my dental visits to a cleaning every 3 months which he suggested.

Just to add another thought, it's also worth using an alcohol free mouthwash. There are several out there that are good.

I would like to know more as my doc mentioned avastin. He said it makes remission longer. I think my teeth are bad. I don't even know. I have bridges and caps. Last time I was on taxol-carbo i gat a small gum infection. I just started doxial Aug 10th. I had uterine cancer, but it moved to my lymph system

Taken the treatment similar to the way you are taking them. The avastin has strunk my tumors and was on mainance every three weeks and a lower dosage. Thought teeth problem was do to avastin but don't know. Doing

Cleaning at dentist is what is suggested for me had pulled 5 teeth and

Maybe one more. Let me know if your treatment changes and how your doing sister warrior hugs

Thanks!

Did you also have chemos that didn't work before you took avastin? They brought my CA 125 down and now it's coming up again, first Doxil then carbo gemzar. Did you have that problem before avastin. I am in a scared place now but would LOVE to get back to relaxed, hopeful, working on my heath. Exercise is my main thing, Nia dance classes are great and I go 4 x a week, plus I work out at the Y on the machines. Very aerobic and a healing type of dance.

Teeth is an issue for me. I rinse with salt water every day. I go to the dentist a lot and I have been so good at my health since diagnosed...but I still can't brush 10 minutes a day. I am working on it. Thanks so much for responding and for hugs! It means a great deal to me!

I think I need to stop reading side effects. I go through fear of side effects that I never get. But I am worried about avastin. My doc says nose bleeds and rectal bleeding. I have my chemo day today, so will ask him.
