I am on daily Lynparza 8 pills Twice a day and Avastin every three weeks since December. My CA125 at the start of this protocol was 150 after a 3 or 4 month I was down to 50. Needless to say I was happy. Then it began to creep up, early June it was 105, I had a CT scan that showed no progression of disease. My next CA 125 were 110,117 and a week ago 138. I was totally besides myself. Had a PET scan last week and again it came back totally clean all spots gone. BUT, what did show up was was an inflamed left rotator cuff.
Well in retrospect I did hurt my shoulder when I ever so gracefully tripped and my big purse that weighs a ton slipped and pulled my shoulder down it hurt like crazy Ever since I have had trouble lifting my left arm and waking up in pain in the middle of the night. Well, I now see it coincides with the rise in my CA125
I have an appointment with an orthopedist and will start physical therapy
Hopefully this will make the CA 125 go back down. I know any inflammation can make the CA125 go up, I should have thought of that and maybe not stressed so much Lesson learned
