New approach to pain management
Many of us are only too aware of the negative side effects of steroids,
opioids
etc and for me, any approach that does not depend on such is worth investigating.

Low dose opioids & side effects
Hi, I am new to this forum. I am in Australia. I have suffered from RLS for many years. I was on a DA for about 10 years, but eventually came up against Augmentation. Weaned off as I was on a high dose. Dreadful period. Anyway, have been tried on every trick in the book. Iron infusion, Gabapentin (did

Opioids
are often used as medicines because they contain chemicals that relax the body and can relieve pain. Many people get prescribed opioid medication for chronic pain as the main treatment pathway for living with the pain.

My ongoing RLS battle
I told him that was out of the question because I couldn’t risk getting sick again from
opioids
. I just could not risk it!!! He offered no other solution. So, again I was on my own to figure it out.

Educating my Canadian Dr on opioids and RLS
I have suffered with RKS for about 10 years.I believe mine is caused by a dopamine deficiency.I live in Canada and I’m not sure my Dr woukd prescribe an opioid .. my guess is he wouldn’t.Is there any kind of literature or study that I can refer too to perhaps ask him to educate himself on RLS, as I can

Gabapentin and CKD
I don't want to take
opioids
for many reasons and because I have kidney disease, I only take Tylenol which is like taking air when going up against this level of pain. I know gabapentin helps a lot of people but is said to be really dangerous for CKD patients.

Tramadol and the covid booster.
Does anyone know how many days there should be, in between taking
opioids
and getting the vaccine? I'm keen to find out as I know that Tramadol can interfere with your immune system, although I'm not sure how much. Any help would be valued. x

From pramipexole and buprenorphine to what?
Comorbid conditions and medications I can remember I have tried are in my profile, (
opioids
are out for ongoing treatment). What should I aim for when I am off pramipexole and buprenorphine?

Ranking the opioids for RLS
I'd love to see experienced members rank the various
opioids
for efficacy. Include advantages, disadvantages, side effects etc Which ones should be avoided, etc. Include kratom on the list. Maybe we can all agree on one "master list"?!!!

Pain relief without more opioids
Does anyone have any suggestions for pain relief without more
opioids
? I was thinking of getting a TENs machine. Can you use pads on abdomen and back?

How long did take it take for your legs to settle down after getting off Pramipexole?
My sleep doctor is a neurologist and does not want to prescribe
opioids
--the Tramadol was given to me for fibromyalgia. I am trying to work full time but getting such little and fragmented sleep is taking its toll on me. Thanks for listening.

Augmentation
Do other classes of medications like
opioids
or gaba meds cause any augmentation? That's the question I'm raising. For the last quarter century DAs have been the overwhelmingly go to treatment for treating RLS with medication.
