PPMS...
Ocrelizumab
is the first FDA-approved medicine for primary progressive MS. It appears to slow the progression of disability. In terms of making physical function as good as it can be, people with PPMS will be helped by exercise, stretching, physical, and occupational therapy.

Covid vaccine effectiveness and rituximab
I just came across this MS-related blog: https://multiple-sclerosis-research.org/2020/06/the-mscovid-19-vacccination-window-of-
ocrelizumab
-rituximab-and-more-evidence-for-the-importance-of-memory-b-cells/ It's quite technical and contains links to related papers.

Structure of CD20 in complex with the therapeutic monoclonal antibody rituximab
Other Type I mAbs include
ocrelizumab
[OCR] and ofatumumab [OFA;]. Type II mAbs such as obinutuzumab (OBZ; Gazyva) and tositumomab (Bexxar) exhibit low CDC activity and lack the ability to localize CD20 into lipid rafts but induce higher levels of direct cell death.

Ocrevus - Tomorrow's the Day
I also have a connective tissue disease that
ocrelizumab
is expected to address as well. I'll report back when I'm up to it, there seems to be a wide range of responses to the infusions. Wish me luck!

Ocrelizumab
I am going to begin taking
Ocrelizumab
at the end of June. I am nervous about it. I have read a lot about it. The infusion center told me about a new case of PML in Germany.
