Introduction & a quick question...
After considering the viable options based on the cytogenetics, we are going with an
Obinutuzumab
& Venetoclax one-year treatment plan. My doctor initially had me take a low dose of (50% normal) Chlorambucil for a few weeks to bring down the lymphocyte count into the low 100s.

O+V treatment in Canada after Calquence
I'm still not sure of the whole protocol with the
Obinutuzumab
+Venetoclax treatment. My oncologist is vague, or perhaps, my mind is not focused when I am in his office. I understood that it will be 5 or 6 visits per month for infusion and this for a whole year? Is that correct?

It Had To Happen!! Covid-19 Strikes!
It has been 18 months since I completed my CLL
Obinutuzumab
plus Venclexta treatment protocol. I was in remission. I have had four Covid-19 vaccinations and two Evusheld vaccinations over that time. So, last week is the first time I ventured into the public transportation system in 2-1/2 years.

Immunocomprised and suddenly have an asymptomatic Covid infection!
My husband has CLL and is in treatment (finished
Obinutuzumab
, now on Venetoclax). He has had two pretty severe Covid infections; first one in June 2022, second one in December 22. The second infection turned into long Covid (fatigue, daily low grade fevers) - lasting over six months now.

'Headspin'
She seems to be leaning towards, 'Venetoclax Pill's and an '
Obinutuzumab
' drip. She is keen to have this done in January, in case the tumour issue flares up, as it will be better if the CLL treatment is completed by them.

obinutuzumab
I have started the
Obinutuzumab
Ventoclax regime. Had my 4
obinutuzumab
infusions so haven’t got to the tablets till next week. It is a lot of work initially going back and forth to hospital and my anaemia was a pain.

WHEN YOUR CLINICAL TRIAL FAILS, WHAT DO YOU DO NEXT ?
It wasn't funny at the time, but my first starter dose of
Obinutuzumab
was a fiasco. My CNP was just telling me about the possible side effects as we were getting started on the infusion, chills, fever, sweats etc; should take about 5 hours as it is a slow process. Heck!

Help needed please
There are infusions of
Obinutuzumab
then Venetoclax mentioned on here. Is this just in the US? My husband has been offered Calquence. These are tablets to be taken twice a week. Are these for early stage CLL? Has anyone else had this form of treatment? What can we expect?

Brother about to start treatment, advice please
He’s about to start treatment with
obinutuzumab
and venetoclax. He’s on a few meds for blood pressure and several medications for epilepsy. Wondering if anyone has done this treatment who also has epilepsy and how the treatment went? He’s pretty anxious about it all.

Relative risk for secondary bone marrow cancer within 5 years after initial CLL chemoimmunotherapy treatment (typically BR or FCR)
In countries where targeted therapies ('brutinibs, venetoclax,

CLL in treatment and possible long Covid and managing isolation
My 74 year old husband has CLL and is on treatment consisting of
Obinutuzumab
infusions (just completed) and Venetoclax. He got Covid for the second time in January 2023, took Paxlovid, and it resolved without too much complication. He then had the "Paxlovid rebound."

CLL + nephrotic syndrome: furosemide problem
In my case, I'm being treated with
obinutuzumab
, which has improved a little, but then I was prescribed 60 mg/day of furosemide (Lasix) to help with swelling. The problem is that it's done exactly the opposite and has overloaded my kidneys. I was already retaining some albumin and I lost it again.
