Pluvicto after long time androgen deprivation therapy
Hello warriors, the more I read, the more I have a feeling, that chances of great response to Pluvicto / LU-177 are rather slim after being on ADT for years. It certainly seems the case for castration-sensitive PC, not sure about castration-resistant PC. [i]Continuous long-term ADT significantly

Is surgery usually the only option?
Hi, I have a history of Endo and possible Adenomyosis - previously had cysts and lesions removed during laparoscopy (not sure if it was ablation or excision - it was over 10 years ago & I was quite uninformed at the time). I am approaching menopause age (no sign yet) - I was hoping this would alleviate

My husband Martin was diagnosed in 2019 with prostate cancer. Gleason score 7 (3+4) Biopsy showed 12 out of 16 cores. In June 2019 he had Robotic surgery. We were told everything went very well. His PSA dropped to <0.05. This lasted until September 2020 when his PSA started to increase 0.46. And continued

ADT "vacation" terminology questions
I see a lot of posters here who say they do ADT "vacations." Are there any circumstances when NCCN SoC indicate cessation or interruption of ADT and abi? The term "vacation" implies an inevitable return to ADT. Do you wait for rising PSA or a fixed time to go by? What about when one has oligometastatic

Update #6 Clear Decks
Hi all 👋 Continuing on from my previous post here - https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/149372691/update-5-back-to-front I am officially bareback… 😬 but don’t worry, it’s not for long. Phase 1 of the plan now begins! It’s taken me about 5/6 weeks, but I have weaned down slowly from 2.5 grains

Dry Mouth & the Advanced PC Patient (for those on Pluvicto or meds or ICI, where a side effect is dry mouth) - A Guide
Xerostomia (dry mouth) is associated with an increased incidence of dental decay (cavities), oral fungal infections (candidiasis), halitosis, burning mouth, gingivitis and periodontal disease. Dry mouth may also cause dysphagia (difficulty in swallowing), dysgeusia (altered or loss of taste), and difficulty

Need More Energy
I'm on ADT for life and I'm a retired professional golfer. I play three days a week. I feel so weak and tired when I play but I put up with it. Does anyone have any ideas how I can have more energy during my rounds of golf? My PSA and scans are undetectable and I don't want to take anything that would

Here I go.
So the beast has returned - In summary, after a 2 year ADT vaca, my PSA started to climb so i was tracking it monthly. I also got to Mayo and they did a PSMA/CAT in october (PSA=0.2)- that they "said" was clean. In March PSA went to 1.5 so we did another scan at the end of April- and I have two mets

Dose increase and RT3
Hello. I have followed along with this site for about a year. I have collected quite a bit of knowledge and so appreciate all that has been shared through this site. I have Hashimoto's (TPO is currently around 300 and I do not have TGab antibodies). Vitamin D, B12 and iron are all looking good. Still

Has anybody noticed a change to Armour at all this year?Just wanting to rule out different possibilities to why I feel worse than usual.
I have had alot of additional tough stressors this year ,but my FT4 and FT3 have dropped despite a gradual dose increase. I am going through the list of possibilities suggested on this forum, but thought I also should ask the question has Armour changed this year, ie perhaps a filler? I understand '

adrenal testing on the nhs?
is it worth trying? or are they going to only check for complete adrenal failure if i asked them? i have a feeling they will probably test what i ask since i've never had problems regarding specific tests before, but i would really just like to know what i should be checking. i'm losing LOTS of hair

SBRT without ADT
Hello All….hope you all are doing well. I decided to have radiation rather than surgery. My Gleason score is 7 with PSA 8.1. PMSA revealed no spread. Two lessons on prostate one positive and other negative. I will start 5 day radiation in about 10 days. I opt for 5 days over the 20 day option.

I've been on ADT since 2017 and approximately 3 years ago I switched from prednisone to .5mg dexamethasone daily with morning meal. I have been having periods of infrequent lightheadedness. I have been through a series of tests and my pcp cannot determine the source. Can I switch my dose of dexa from

DI 02 effects beyond thyroid
I am one of the many who don’t get on with Levothyroxine. When I got up to the maximum dose without feeling better my consultant tried liothyronine which made me feel instantly livelier, but I had nasty side effects so ended up on NDT. I have to be at or slightly above top of the range to feel good and

side effects of Tamoxifen
I joined Health Unlocked in 2016 when my daughter was diagnosed with both breast cancer and diabetes. She was 36 at the time so it was the full works in terms of treatment. She underwent a lumpectomy in her left breast, chemo, radiation and has been on hormone therapy - 1 tab of Tamoxifen a day since

New hot flash drug approved
The FDA today approved Veozah (fezolinetant) for women's hot flashes during menopause. It acts on the thermoregulatory mechanism in the brain. I would expect it to work on men taking ADT too, although it has not been proven. I hope that Medicare/Insurance will cover it in men. https://www.fda.gov/news-events
