Does Add-back therapy / HRT (tibolone) stop prostap from working? Anyone have any experience?
I can't take
NSAIDs
. I am actually waking up in the night now in so much pain that I can't move, my body feels stuck. A minor detail - I am glad I am on HRT because I broke my leg while drowsy on morphine about 4 months ago and don't want the increased risk of osteoporosis!!!

Anti depressants?
My GP put me on Citalapram but then rang and said not to take them as they interact with other drugs I'm on, instead she gave me Fluoxetine but the instructions say not to take with Tramadaol or
NSAiDs

Pregabalin and Weight Gain?
I cant take
NSAIDS
as I'm allergic to most of them we've tried so far (Ibuprofen, Diclofenac, Naproxen etc.). Does anyone have any advice on how to lose weight whilst on Pregabalin? Is it possible to prevent weight loss even if you are on acalorie reduced diet and excersise program?

Feel total rubbish
I feel absolutely awful today, not sure if it's the new Dmard Azathioprine, or returning to taking
NSAIDs
Naproxen, or both!

Another plea for abatacept experience
I had always maintained my RA with
NSAIDs
with the occasional cortisone jab, but in the last four years, I have tried embrel, leflunomide, toxillizumab and now abatacept.

Is it just me or is all this completely frustrating!?
Since then I've been started on Hydroxychloroquine, Prednisolone and Meloxicam (after trying various other
NSAIDs
e.g. Naproxyn etc). I've now been taking the Prednisolone for nearly 2 months and after it seeming like a miracle cure for a couple of weeks things have got a whole lot worse again.

Diet and Pain
We all know that what we eat can affect our health. New research, however, shows that there may be a specific link between diet and pain. Pain specialist Dr Rae Bell tells us more, and outlines steps you can take to improve your diet as part of your pain management regime. It’s very important for

A Good Nights Sleep
The non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (
NSAIDs
, for example, ibuprofen) are useful if tolerated and are particularly effective if there is an inflammatory element in the pain. Unfortunately chronic pain often responds less well to traditional pain killers than would be hoped.

Pain management
Like many I also can't take
NSAIDS
. This morning I am between posting roaming around the house trying desperatly to cope with the agony in my back. I am lucky in that they tend to be small and as a rule pass alone without the need for zapping.

Advice on superficial phylebiti & Ibuprofen gel
I've got superficial phylebitis. I've had it a few weeks now. Unfortunately it got infected so i had to take a course of antibiotics. It was so painful last friday i had to go to A&E where they tested me for DVT. Luckily it came back clear but the only way it can clear up quicker is by taking anti-inflammatorys

I have allergies to perfume, chemicals,
nsaids
and other things. Anyway, at my recent annual review, I admitted to using ventolin every day, otherwise I would not be able to walk up the hill to the shops at lunch time or take my dog for a walk.

NSAID alternatives
NSAIDs
set off my asthma, but I find that paracaetamol doesn't really deal with muscle pain very well. Does anyone know of any alternatives I could take that don't fall under the NSAID class? Preferably over the counter, but prescribed if otherwise...

Painkillers and Asthma
I can't use
NSAIDs
as they seem to exacerbate my asthma (not immediately, but I definitely get more breathless and more of a cough about an hour after - and since my asthma has got worse I daren't try them again) and I seem to be limited to Paracetamol.

Voltarol/NSAID pain relief gels
Hey, just after some clarification and thought some of you may have the answers :) So I have an old shoulder injury (lots of dislocations followed by an operation to stabilise the joint) that has flared up over the last 10 days - your typical over the counter pain meds are not really touching it so
