I have allergies to perfume, chemicals,
nsaids
and other things. Anyway, at my recent annual review, I admitted to using ventolin every day, otherwise I would not be able to walk up the hill to the shops at lunch time or take my dog for a walk.

Drug Allergies
I've always known I'm allergic to Aspirin and
NSAIDs
, but when in hospital recently, I had an allergic reaction to another IV drug they gave me, and unlike my aspirin allergy this wasn't slow/delayed, but a fairly instant tongue/lips swelling tingly etc reaction.

Too allergic for allergy tests?!
that they have a known ""histamine freeing effect"" and that they are salicylates; now I'm worried about taking pain relief as normally I'd use an NSAID such as ibuprofen or diclofenac (which I have on repeat) but don't think I should now incase I'm allergic to salicylates and therefore aspirin and

I turn to the health section and there's an article about NSAID'S causing more stomach damage than originally thought .And there in the warning box is Naproxen which my consultant has just doubled ! Great. How do you weigh up benefits of drugs

Having said that, because my diagnosis is JIA I cannot access certain drugs; 33 years of
NSAIDs
has made eating and drinking a game of russian roulette; 5 years of steroids gained me 3 stone that just will not shift and tiredness and frustration are constant battles.

Ibuprofen with MTX?
In the pamphlet it says care should be taken with
NSAIDs
so I'm not sure whether to just keep on taking 3x 400mg per day with meals as directed, or whether I should just take them as an when required now?
