GERD or Allergies
Basically I suffer with reflux that triggers asthma and causes me daily problems especially where foods are concerned, particularly tomatoes and chocolate (dark or milk). For the last year or so (especially during my pregnancy) I took a particular liking to dark chocolate kitkat a and milk chocolate

Salt Cave for children
My 2 year old son has just been diagnosed with asthma after two visits to A&E with breathing difficulties in the last six weeks... (has has a history of eczema and food allergies too). A friend has recommended Salt Caves, and I wondered if anyone here had tried them, for themselves or their children

Manuka honey regularly gets a mention in replies as something to try for stubborn infections, so this article will be of interest to many of us. [i]Manuka honey is often touted as a “superfood” that treats many ailments, including allergies, colds and flus, gingivitis, sore throats, staph infections

Wk2 complete!
This week was tough but I battled through it. Struggling a bit with allergies makes it harder to breathe when running but I didn't let it stop me 😂

Testing for allergies
My 5 yr old daughter has asthma with the symptoms being mainly night-time coughing and some daytime coughing occasionally. She has the brown and blue inhalers plus a steroid nasal spray. I am keen to get her tested for some common allergies particularly cats as I'd hoped to get a cat. I seem to be

Urgh such a bad run it you can call it that. I suffer with allergies and asthma that comes with it and this morning my chest was bad, and started to feel sick half way through the run so thought I should stop. I'll just have another go tomorrow, but so frustrating

Food triggers.
I am trying (unsuccessfully so far) to identify my asthma triggers. I recently had an inhalant allergy test carried out and the results of this showed that although I am allergic to something (high IgE) I was not allergic to any of the tested allergens (usual suspects: dog, cat, house dust etc, etc).

Non-stop runny nose & sneezing
I suffer from runny nose & sneezing all the time. This is not seasonal coz I started suffering from it since I was 19 and i'm 25 now. So far, I've tried all kinds of antihistamines and check up from specialists. But, whenever I treat my runny nose & sneezing, I get a postnasal drip which makes me cough

Allergies to nickel and to sticky electrodes
As an appendix to the other thread we have running today regarding pacemakers I thought it would be useful to report the circumstances of and following my last ablation 10 days ago. Went out for the day sunday & still paying for it coughing - I have allergy asthma (pollen) Feel so sad.
I went out for a whole day (1st day in ages) with family to LEGOLAND on sunday, I was feeling nervous about it as I only manage a few hours outside before I'm affected by the pollen. I followed advice from my respiratory nurse and paced myself. the next day (bank holiday)symptom's worsened & I coughed

Constant Food Poisoning Anxiety
In May of this year, I got food poisoning from Cub food fried chicken. It is really uncommon for me to get sick, so it really was an isolated incident. But once summer started, for some reason my anxiety from food poisoning has gotten so bad to the point where I've almost made myself sick from worrying

Pros and Cons of allergy drugs
I have been taking tablets, eye drops and nose sprays for about 7 years all year round for hayfever/dust mite allergy. Are there any contra indications for long term use of these mild prescriptions? I've tried coming off them, but tend to get breathlessness, sinus pain, waking up gasping or eye redness

Shortness of Breath
Anyone have shortness of breath? I don't have asthma or wheezing. Just feels like I am struggling very hard to breathe. I can't figure out what is causing it. Dr. tells me allergies but I don't believe that is it.... I take Armour Thyroid and am wondering if that could be contributing to it??
