Switch from Firmagon to Zoladex
Met with my Urologist yesterday. I've been on Firmagon for 3 months, PSA dropped from 38 to 0.44 ug/L and Testosterone down to 0.6 nmol/L. He would like my testosterone to be lower so is switching me to Casodex and Zoladex. For background, I'm Gleason 4+4 and cancer in lymph nodes but not distant

Fighting my case and demanding appropriate treatment
Hi Ladies I just wanted to share what's going on for me. I think it's often the case that we have shared experiences here and we can all learn from each other. I know that I have learned so much from what others have shared. I have had such a long and difficult journey with my illness which started

Endo and Zoladex Injections???
Hi all! I am new here! After over a year of asking for surgery, I recently had my diagnostic laparoscopy in September and was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis (covering bowels, ovaries and bladder). They removed some off of the bladder but I need to have a further op as they couldn’t get the endo

Suffering for too long with constant pain.
I was diagnosed with endometriosis a couple of years ago and have had the operation, been on zoladex treatment and took the pop pill. I am now not on any treatment but been told I’m in a waiting list to have the operation again. I’m trying for a baby and that is all I want but having intercourse is painful

Hi We have just returned home from a most disappointing appointment with the oncologist. A quick reminder my husband was diagnosed in 2009 with locally advanced prostate cancer. Surgery to remove prostate was aborted due to lymph node involvement, started zoladex injections and had 39 fractions of radiotherapy

Gyno says Endometriosis is 'cured' .... despite constant pain
I'm 22 and have always suffered with my menstrual cycles - I was wondering if anybody has any advice or can relate? I miscarried 4 times and had multiple ultrasound scans. Eventually I had a lyposcopy in November 2017 and was diagnosed with endometriosis, which they lasered away and installed a mirena

SO fed up with how the drs have treated me (VENT)
Hi Ladies I do usually have a fairly optimistic outlook and I tend to focus on what I can do- I am a fixer type. But I got my GP practice notes today and I just feel so angry, fed up and deflated by it all. I'm sick of fighting to try and convince the drs that that there is something wrong with me. Even

What are your symptoms and how frequently do you experience them?
I thought it would be interesting to discuss what our symptoms are & how frequently we experience them. There seems to be a lot of variation in endometriosis symptoms & it might also be helpful to see that others have the same issues! My worst symptom is stomach/bowel issues. Very sore, bloated stomach

Stopped zoladex - what now?
Hi all. I’ve had 4 months of zoladex following excision for stage 4 - and they now want me to have a couple of normal periods to see how they are. How quickly could my periods start up again? I’m starting a new job in a couple of weeks and now stressing I will be back to being in severe pain. Also

My estrogen dominance test results
Hi ladies I have made a few posts recently about my attempts to find out an alternative treatment option. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and very unusual type of fibroid, which is causing me a great deal of pain and chronic fatigue. The doctor's said that the only real cure would be to try to remove

Zoladex, side effects worse
I had my first zoladex injection 3rd of August and they’ve changed my appointment for my second one so I’m still waiting.. I know they can’t do this as I’d be starting the treatment over again but they’ve said there’s nothing they can do, but I’m almost two weeks over my Injection due date, and my side
