Hi Nanungi, have you talked to your GP about fertility? Sorry I don’t know anything personally about zoladex. It was through being diagnosed with Endo that I finally was able to start my ivf journey (not that it’s going particularly well at the mo but that’s a different story) I’d think first off you’d need to talk to your GP about what your options are. To start with my GP kept telling me there was nothing wrong with me, then once I was diagnosed and it was a consultant at the hospital who told my doc to put me forward for ivf my doc kept insisting that I’d have to pay privately for it as I’m over 35. But it turns out the cut off is 42. The first thing my husband and I had to do when we got accepted for ivf was have some blood tests done and I found out that I have a very low egg count (-1) we’re still going ahead with treatment but our other option is a donor egg.
So please don’t think that there’s no hope for you having a family, you just need to get the right information and put on the road right path.
Good luck x
Have you talked to a fertility specialist as they can take a medical history, look at your ovaries, uterus and fallopian tubes to check if they're all okay, they'll also check your hormone levels. Don't forget to get your partner checked also as men can have problems too.
I'm guessing you've not had treatment to remove your endo recently; bear in mind some women find being pregnant makes their endo worse. Some also find that after giving birth it gets a lot worse. So talking to an endo specialist will help you work out what the best method of treatment is so you have less regrowth during pregnancy and birth. You wouldn't want to be very ill like you are now with a newborn.
You probably need to look at how to sort out your pain levels before you try to conceive to make the process easier and considering that it can take time, either naturally or IVF so you'll want to be in less pain for at least a few months.
You will find a way through this, just talk to a specialist so you can discuss what you want to do and what they recommend.
