NILOTINIB: Please Share Your Experience if you are taking
I realize this question has been posted before but not recently. Would be very helpful to get input from those out there with any first hand experience with this drug. There are a host of new ASN drugs going into trials - insight from those would be so valuable.

Isn't this the most dramatic trial so far?
When I fist came across this, I was very excited, thought about exploring a 'buy group' like what was done with
Nilotinib
, but then because I have PD, I forgot to pursue it (ha,) but was reviewing bookmarks today and rediscovered it. 1 dose reduced a-synucleai 97% in 1 hour!!

Interest in Nilotinib (Tasigna by Novartis)
I plan to start taking Tasigna next week. If there are others who are currently taking this drug or considering doing so (for Parkinson's), I would appreciate very much hearing from you. frank.mundo@gmail.com.

Hope for slowing or halting PD: 5 repurposed drugs that are in clinical trials that show very strong promise
Nilotinib
is just starting Phase II for those with moderate PD, spearheaded out of Georgetown University Medical. Some are taking this "off label". A great webinar: https://www.michaeljfox.org/page.html?hot-topics-webinar-series&navid=webinar-series

Article on media hype, from both a patient and a scientific perspective
"
Nilotinib
for PD" gets a big mention. https://parkinsonsoutreach.wordpress.com/2017/04/06/media-hype-patient-and-scientific-perspectives-on-misleading-medical-news/ There are also a couple of related articles from Scientific American and MJFF.

Reservations about participating in Clinical Trials...
An actual case in point:
Nilotinib
(FDA approved for Cancer treatment) was tested on 12 patients with Parkinsons ... with such positive results that it is now in Phase II trial. The original Phase I participants were taken off the drug and resumed their decline in health.

Nilotinib & Parkinsons with LBD
I have had my husband taking 200 mg
Nilotinib
daily purchased in Mexico for 16 months. It see to have helped him physically, & has perhaps slowed the progression of his Lewy Body Dementia. Has anyone been on it for that length of time & how were your results?

Recruitment has begun for the Georgetown University "PD Nilotinib" phase 2 trial
In an email to me in November last year GU said that for their
Nilotinib
trials they will only be recruiting patients who live within 50 miles of Georgetown University Hospital in Washington DC.

An interesting read on Botox Therapy from CurePSP. For those of you not on Facebook.
A small study using Tasigna/
Nilotinib
in Parkinson’s disease patients at Georgetown [in 2015] was promising, but it was an ‘open-label’ study, meaning the patients were not blinded and knew that they were getting the drug
nilotinib
.

Another interesting blog post from Alan Hoffman
Alan Hoffman, one of the participants in the first Georgetown University
nilotinib
trial for PD, has just added a new post to his blog (17 Nov 2016). In this post he makes reference to the program BIG, and to the drugs Rytary and Tasigna (
nilotinib
), which he is taking.

Early Stage Parkinson's and Nilotinib
I have come across the
Nilotinib
trials and am very curious about its efficacy.
Nilotinib
is manufactured in India and costs just a fraction of what it costs in the USA. I am looking for others who are taking
Nilotinib
or thinking about taking it and would like to share their experience.

Is Michael J Fox organization holding up key PD research?
I have been wondering why is taking SO LONG to get the next Clinical Test underway for
Nilotinib
, an anti-cancer drug drug which in a small test, appears to slow or stop progression of Parkinsons.
