A Lung Cancer Blogger's Story
I’m a long-time blogger who will celebrate the 10th anniversary of writing my first blog post this coming Christmas Day. My blog used to be about work, my family’s adventures on our sailboat, the things I knit, my daughter’s growth from teenage years through college. When I was diagnosed with stage IV

A reference to a new GU nilotinib trial for PD?
Alan Hoffman, one of the participants in the first Georgetown University
nilotinib
trial for PD, has just added a new post to his blog. If I've understood him correctly, he says that the next trial is planned to begin in January.

My experiments with supplements
I did stem cells, Ayurveda, herbal medicine, energy therapy, Chinese medicine, acupuncture,
Nilotinib
and ext. But lately I think I got some positive response from my experiments.

Georgetown's next Nilotinib-for-PD trial (i.e. Phase 2 trial) to start in January
The new trial has just been announced on the ClinicalTrials.gov website. It states, however, that recruitment has not yet commenced. https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02954978#wrapper (hat tip to badboy99 at NeuroTalk for the link)

FDA approves another blood test for a mutation (T790M) in lung cancer
Some of you may have heard about new blood tests to check for lung cancer mutations. And you may have seen the term "liquid biopsy." These blood tests mean that patients with lung cancer who are unable to have a tissue biopsy could still be tested for mutations. Identifying lung cancer mutations is

What are reasonable expectations for my neurologist
After reporting in on symptom progression I expressed interest in knowing more about
Nilotinib
. To my surprise my physician really seemed to know little about it and dismissed the subject with the statement that "there wasn't any buzz about it at her last medical meeting."

NAC, update
I also take
nilotinib
off and on and the jury is still out for me. That's another confounding factor, along with not being able to be consistent with exercise.

Hello, has anybody more information about the therapy with
nilotinib
, one study with eleven Patients showed very good results (improvent in 10 patients). Open Study not doubleblind). If the results are correct, the "holy grail" of parkinson therapy.
