Severe brain injury experiences?
My father had a fall on 7th March and suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, he was put in a medically induced coma and had brain surgery to remove the subdural hematoma. He is in intensive care and we are in the early days of his potential recovery. I would really appreciate hearing about your experiences

/treatments-and-services/parkinsons-cell-therapy I just spoke with Mass General. Talking again next week to someone else. Today I was assessed for eligibility for their pre-clinical stem cell trial. I am not eligible bc my PD is not advanced enough.

I was sitting in the neurologist office with my oldest daughter. Thinking this is all a mistake. Til the Dr came in and said yes you have MS. And showed me the lesions. So I asked when do we cut them out? You do brain surgery all the time. That is how little I knew about MS. Since then I've learned

can only reduce its symptoms, but not stop its progression. I would like to make here a series of points questioning some established ideas about this disease, to test if we are facing scientific facts or dogmas.

Dr. Jeff Elias of U of Virginia Responds to Email Regarding Pallidothalamic Tractotomy
In my ongoing quest to bring attention to PTT in the United States, I emailed Dr. Jeff Elias, a prominent neurosurgeon at the University of Virginia, who already performs other types of focused ultrasound procedures. Here is our email exchange. It's in reverse order so it begins with my response and

Virtual Reality for pain management and anxiety control.
Some of you may already know and use this but I thought it was worth mentioning. In recent times researchers have found that immersive VR is a potent pain reducer and a powerful anxiety reducing tool as well. My wife worked for the UCSF Medical Center ...S.F. As a physician’s Liaison. In the course

Lena McCullough gave me permission to post her 1st comment upon having her 2nd MRg FUS PTT this morning in Solothurn, Switzerland.
December 9, 2020 Lena will not be fielding questions. She is recovering in the hospital. Previously, some who have had this procedure feel they have been criticized. Brain surgery is a tough and very personal decision. If you are not supportive of her decision, please do not comment on this thread

PIP Appeal - Further evidence letters
Good morning all, I hope all is as well as possible with you. Miserable dark and rainy day here and it's my Mum's 90th. Would love some sunshine. What I'm here for is for suggestions and advice on how letters should be written when those that know us well provide letters as further evidence for PIP
