A little bit miffed....
I have had a very emotional afternoon reading through the blogs questions etc on this site. The emotional roller coaster has taken me through all the emotions that I strive daily to hide. But I have never laugh and cried so hard at the same time as I have today. I just had to post the site to my facebook

Anyone know how long the waiting list is for DBS at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London?
Hi everyone, hope you are all okay. I had my consultation this week. I was told that the only option for me was DBS as medication is not working. Next step is to meet with the DBS Team at Queen Square. I am now left in a situation where I am simply trying to manage this rather precarious situation

I started my second week today! To be honest I can't believe I have stuck with it but I'm now really enjoying it. I had brain surgery last Dec and had been completely sedentary for six month, I also gave up smoking in Oct so my weight rocketed and I went up three dress sizes. I had always been active

Hi, I'm 77fluffy05 (AKA Diane). I live in the US in Burlington, North Carolina. I would like to add that I am 59 years old and have a 35 year old son. Because of his divorce he now lives with me again. I love having someone around. I use an electric chair to get around in, they won't let me drive

It has been almost 3 months since I was "turned on" The difference is incredible. As my 5 year old granddaughter days - Mimi - "you are magical" On the other hand my 6 year old granddaughter asked me "how is your brain surgery going?" it tok me awhile to figure out that she though I had elected to

My Experience With Deep Brain Stimulation
I have not spent a lot of time discussing Deep Brain Stimulation, or how it has affected my lifestyle. The reason for this is simple. I'm not quite sure I am qualified. Yes, I was the one that endured the hours of surgery, and yes, I was the one who dealt with all the unknowns that brain surgery brings

Parkinsons Disease With A Small Injection Of Humor.
I would like to begin a chronicled look at my life with Parkinsons Disease, contributing to this effort as often as I feel up to doing so. But I must warn you, with a topic as interesting as this one, I may not miss a single day. Some days I may seem inspired and the juices may flow, while at other

Fox FactorNot a big fan Micheal J Fox
I am sure I am going to catch hell for this but I need to get it out. I am not a big fan of the way Micheal J Fox goes around to all these talk shows without taking his meds and twitching around. Then I see him on tv HBO's Curb your Whatever or the red carpet not nearly as bad as he was on Regis and

Introduction!
Hello All! I just found this web site a few minutes ago, but it looks like it could be helpful for sharing information and helping each other along on this sometimes bumpy and always adventurous road that we call Parkinson's Disease. I'll tell you a bit about me, just to get started. I'm hoping
