Starting Gabapentin
Thanks to great advice on here last year, I took a course of ferrous sulfate and my ferritin levels went from 52 to 105. Unfortunately this didn’t help my RLS and my GP doesn’t do a full iron panel and so couldn’t get the other relevant results. I have now opted for Gabapentin but my GP had advised

advice on taking thyroxine at night ?
one of my friends has under active thyroid like myself she’s advised to take my thyroxine at night instead of the morning as it will work better? I’ve been taking it in the morning then waiting an hour till having breakfast? I also take ferrous sulphate for iron but been advised to take this separately

Drug interactions/conflicts
Hi everyone I am Coeliac and also have Essential Thrombocythemia for which I take Hydroxycarbamide. Amongst the many side effects from HC my regular blood tests have shown me to be borderline anaemic and my regular GP has monitored this for years - checking kidney & liver function, and also on Folate

Intestinal upset (diarrhea, tiredness, slight nausea) from ferrous sulfate?
I suffer from PLM and had low ferritin. I've taken oral iron for some years to keep my ferritin above 100. I've read that one of the adverse effects of iron sulfate can be stomach/intestinal upset. I'm experiencing my 4th episode of intestinal upset in a month. At first I thought it might be food poisoning

Iron results-any advice?
Hi! V grateful for all the wisdom from this forum. Just did a full iron panel on Medichecks as ferritin has been consistently low, and I've been on and off ferrous fumarate for years. GP only tests ferritin; advice on here seemed to be to get the full picture. Results below... Ferritin much better

Suspected B12 deficiency and about to start SI
Hi everyone, I’ve had ID anaemia (microcytic hypochromic) for over 20 years and was told by a GP many years ago that this was due to malabsorption. I’ve had hypothyroidism since 2014, long covid for the past 2 years, and a vax injury from March 2021 that is only just being investigated by rheumatology

how much gentle iron?
what dose should i start on… i have bought iron bisglycinate 20 mg. But have been recommended 320 mcg ferrous sulphate. So very confused at the different levels. How do these figures relate to each other? And do you have to take gentle iron on an empty stomach? The bottle says to take with food. Any

Trialling Buprenorphine and Dipyramidole - experience
Hello everyone! I’ve been around for a little while but I’ve been waiting for something definite to report. At age 56, the RLS was getting very disruptive so I had to find an alternative to my usual sleep medication. It took me a few years. In the end I returned to my old GP, who listened and thought

Advice after latest test result.
Hello. Looking for some advice from you lovely people regarding the latest TSH result. Yes, TSH only as that's all the doc requested....(head in hands). After a bad reaction to Teva 75mcg, 3 weeks into taking Teva 75mcg one day, and Accord 50mcg the next, the pharmacist recommend I just go up to 75mcg

Lobular progression to stomach and colon
Honestly, after a whirlwind of procedures, tests, and new shots, today is the first day I had a moment to digest everything happening and pretty much worked myself into a mild
nervous
breakdown
. Am I running out of time quickly now? So many questions, and I'm heart sick.
