Often this progresses to complete avascular

Other avascular lesions
– clinical reports have included cases of wrist and ankle

Finally got to see a Rheumatologist.
He looked at an 8 month old X ray of my knees as said there was no signs of
necrosis
but since the X ray things have gotten 100 times worse and I have read X rays won't show
necrosis
in the earlier stages.

Anyone experienced Jaw Necrosis from Zometa infusions.
I had Zometa in 2004 and 2005 which resulted in early stage jaw
necrosis
which was handled by stopping Zometa and antibiotics . It has returned with a vengeance now and after 4 months of treatments nothing is working. Anyone have any ideas? My doctors have just thrown up their hands!

They still agree on the radiation
necrosis
but again can never be sure until they go in. With that said, left sided AWAKE craniotomy is scheduled for September 20th. Surgeon will go in and de bulk the cavity, whether it is dead tissue from radiation or actual recurrent tumor.

Minnesota State Fair, Mayo Clinic, Urinary shutdown....fried cheese curds. Foley catheters and unexpected turns.
had an abscess of infection on my prostate (beaten and abused from radiation and hifu...both over 4 years ago) The next day they got more of my history from University of Miami Sylvester...and my urologist and awaited cultures of the blood and urine tests...deciding that the abscess was more likely

Alendronic acid (sodium alendronate): a dilemma...
At my last consultation with the doc we both agreed that the tooth falling out could be due to natural ageing or perhaps the start of jaw
necrosis
. Difficult to be sure?!

GRAVES AND THYROTOXICOSIS : MUSCLES
Serious episodes can be associated with extensive muscle cell damage and

Side effects this time around.....
Hopkins seems to think it is radiation
necrosis
rather than recurrence. But no one can be 100% unless it is biopsied. Meh. He doesn’t really have any other pains than his joints. There is a spot in his abdomen that I am hoping the Taf Mek knocked out of the park. Only god knows..

Update
To him, it looks more like, and is in the time line of radiation
necrosis
. Ryan got a large dose right after his resection of the brain tumor in September. And apparently fits the time line of those effects. He doesn’t think it has characteristics of a tumor either.

Just diagnosed with Osteonecrosis
That is Spontaneous Osteo
Necrosis
Knee. He said the fall had nothing to do with it?? I'm taking Serotide for my COPD and Ursosan for my PBC. Both are steroids and can contribute to bone death. Great!

Indefinite antithyroid drug therapy in toxic Graves’ disease: What are the cons
The serious side effects include agranulocytosis, fulminant hepatic
necrosis
, and antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) positive vasculitis; and these can happen anytime during the course of therapy.

High iodine induces DNA damage in autoimmune thyroiditis partially by inhibiting the DNA repair protein MTH1
The levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines tumor
necrosis
factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-6, and IL-8 were measured using qRT-PCR and ELISA. The apoptosis was evaluated using TUNEL staining. The pathological changes of thyroid tissues were evaluated using hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining.

WHY I HATE THE MEDICAL PROFESSION
Tuesday I went to a knee surgeon because of the knee pain and the pain specialist's findings of avascular
necrosis
in the subpatellar bones. She saw the MRIs and said that she sees a lot of this from steroid use, but
that it does not hurt unless the knee is collapsing, which mine is not.

Avascular Necrosis caused by Steroids.
From personal experience I wouldn’t touch steroids with a barge pole. 10 years after being given steroids briefly for an overactive thyroid gland problem, I was diagnosed with Avascular
Necrosis
and had both my hip bones replaced in 1997 and 1998 respectively.

Cyberknife Issues
I am not sure is it due to swelling or
necrosis
or tumor regrowth. My next MRI is due in Sep 19. I have been asked by my neurophysician to manage it through steriods. Moreover will physical therapy through electric stimulation will be beneficial or not?

MORE ON THE KNEE PAIN SAGA
Results: no problems with the nerves, BUT the knee scan showed a significant area of avascular
necrosis
of the bone in the knee and the upper left thigh, exactly where the pain is. The dr asked me if I had ever been treated with steroids.

If caught early (and often with anticoagulant treatment) the bone death (
necrosis
) can be halted. And the
genetics
?
