Switch from Azithromycin to Doxycycline
Hi, I have severe asthma and pseudomonas infection for which I’ve been put back on Colomycin nebs following an infection that wouldn’t resolve, but did after I asked my GP if we could try a course of cipro (they didn’t try that first as sputum sample didn’t show pseudomonas). I’ve had to switch from

Has This Happened to You?
They gave me prednisone, albuterol
nebulizer
, chest ex ray (said it was clear???). Pulmonologist said emphysema exacerbation. 5 days of prednisone improved my breathing until I ran out of it. Quite coincidentally 1/7 went to GP for a leg wound. He gave me 7 days of antibiotic.

Food stuck in pharynx-Albuterol tx
The third time just a couple of weeks ago, I had the insight to use the
nebulizer
and albuterol to loosen up the mucus, and thereby moving the bolus of food up and out. It worked well…I was out of discomfort in a matter of minutes.

Covid & copd update
Well my husband got his phone call re new treatment..... He's not eligible even though he has copd, asthma, high blood pressure! Apparently it only includes people with kidney or liver problems, people who are having cancer treatment or who take daily steroids in tablet form. So why send him the priority

Nebuliser
I use my nebuliser at least 4 times a day with saline or Salbutamol 2.5ml dose's which take approximately 5 minutes to administer, During a 3 day stay in hospital I couldn't help but notice how much slower it was to get the same dose of medication from their machine, upto 20 minutes. Is my machine too

L Glutathione aerosol problems
Hello everyone , Two weeks ago I started using my
nebulizer
with a 5ml solution of isotonic saline with 400 mg of dissolved l-glutathione. The problem is that it makes me cough so terribly that I have to stop after a few minutes to catch my breath, it also makes my throat sore.

Update
Update from last week regarding exacerbation. After taking steroids I am now taking my antibiotics because I have phlegm on my chest and lots of wheezing. Informed GP and I've to finish course, if I don't feel any better to contact them again. I've decided to buy myself a nebuliser to use just when I'm

Desatting during attacks
So I got quite ill. Went down to 87% in the ambulance, struggled to get my sats up even with oxygen driven neb. Got discharged anyway. Is this normal? Been in and out of A&E multiple times this week alone. Admitted twice since the start of the year, etc. I'm really struggling even now. My sats still

Persistent Congestion and Asthma
I have recently tested clear after several months of pseudomonas, in fact 2 clear tests but I'm really struggling with asthma and congestion, particularly when I lay down which is stopping me sleeping. I'm taking colomycin nebuliser twice a day, azithromycin 5 times a week at the moment, reducing to

Hypertonic Saline
I have just been prescribed 7%hypertonic saline to help with Bronchiectasis. Is this ok to use with the face mask on the nebuliser. It is very salty so not keen on using the mouthpiece.

Chest infection with orange phlem?
Hi, bit of a long post. I rang my asthma team on 17th December as I was coughing up thick green, temp, coughing etc. Had infections consistently for about 3 years now, definitely know what they feel like. They said see my gp because they cant see me, and even delayed all my appointments for the year.

Nebulisers
I need to purchase a nebuliser. My GP will prescribe the nebulas but doesn’t provide loan machines or recommend brands. There are hundreds on the internet and I’d really appreciate any guidance. Thanks!

Update on my Wife's Condition
First of all I'd like to say thanks to people who told me that we were in early days. Even a month ago though (10 weeks after my wife's accident) I wasn't personally positive of much change - she was not showing much sign (to me at least) of regaining any real consciousness and was informally assessed
