Nebivolol

When I was put on Nebivolol it was at 3.75mg. The thing is I went from Jan 2010 to August 2023 on Warfarin, Bisoprolol and Simvastatin without any trouble.

Was kept in for three days, increased betablockers (Nebivolol from 2.5 to 10mg and put on blood thinners. The were still struggling to get my hr down. They did an intravenous treatment, which didn’t work and then gave me a high dose of Digoxin, which brought it down.

HR now around 55-60 instead of 90-100 ( on high dose drugs) I was immediately taken off Digoxin and told to continue the BB Nebivolol 10mg a day. Then started on Flecainide 100mg daily, with the BB.

They switched me to nebivolol and kept the Ramipril. There was very little improvement over the next four weeks, so they added some dapagliflozin to help the heart muscle and try to reduce symptoms. I’ve had a little improvement but definitely not there yet, 6 weeks after discharge.

Bisoprolol was first prescribed in Jan 2010 when I was first diagnosed with paroxysmal AF until changed to on 17 Sept 2023.

As for the rest of Cardiac Consultants dissertation … will try Sotalol for 3 to 4 months, if poorly tolerated or in effective we can either increase Sotalol to 80 mg twice a day or consider switching to a Nebivolol and Flecainide 50mg combo. Could also try Amlodipine 5mg for BP.

Because of other underlying problems with CKD, doc put me on Amiodarone 200mg daily, along with Nebivolol bi-daily, replacing Bisoprolol. Was discharged after 6 days when heart rate was consistently below 80bpm.

I had 6 stents inserted into my 3 arteries and ever since taking these medications: Asprin 75mg once a day Atorvastatin 80mg once a day Lansoprazole 30 mg once a day Nebivolol 2.5 mg once a day (I used to be on Biosprolol 5mg, which I then changed to Nebivolol 5mg and now reduced it to 2.5mg) Ramipril

I have permanent AF and I am on 5mg Nebivolol, 180mg of Diltiazem, 5mg Ramipril and Rivaroxaban. I know that some inhalers cause side effects with AF drugs, is anyone using this inhaler or has used it. Can you let me know how you get on with it or anyone who has problems with using it.

Recently I was advised by my Consultant to try 50 mgs of flecainide and 1.25 mgs of Nebivolol twice a day. I'm only into my fifth day and I find I have constant heartburn since day two.

I was prescribe the Nebivolol to slow down my resting HR and not for high BP. My average BP is 110/72. My resting heart rate runs around 70 to 75. I read that you could take it in the morning.

Cardio version worked for 5 days so was put on Amiodarone 200mg along with the usual others, Apixiban, Nebivolol. The Amiodarone messed my thyroid about so was put on a higher dose of Levothyroxine.

Hello ...I've been on Nebivolol for approximately 4 years...dosage 10mg once a day, I keep reading post saying most people take on average 2.5mg..is my dose on the high side?...Thank you 😊

I have just been on 2.5mg Nebivolol for over a year. At my annual check up my doctors said my heart rate of 45 was too low and recommended stopping beta blockers. So now all good, heart rate over 50 and I can even get through daytime without napping!

Now taking Nebivolol (1,25 mg ) per day….This particular BB is stabilising my heart rate between low to mid 60’s Amlodipine (5mg) for BP which is stabilising around 122/73 At the moment, all is well. Fingers crossed 🤞 it continues… Stay well everyone…

Hi ..i would like to change my medication from concor 2.5mg to Nebivolol....do i use the same dosage or the dosage for Nebivolol must be different Thanks Tracam

I am taking flecanide 50 mgs BD and nebivolol 2.5 mgs daily . I am a bit anxious re surgery and am concerned that it may make AF worse .Do you think I should cancel ?

Tomorrow I trial start on 2x 60mg Diltiazem to replace Amlodipine and Nebivolol. Also had a chest X-Ray. I am shattered- physically and mentally. Splitting sore head, off to take paracetamol and try to have a sleep. Thanks for your support…

I am on a low dose of Nebivolol only 1.25mg. My BP is averaging at 104/48 and I am wondering if this could cause the fatigue, I am thinking of speaking to my doc. Stay well everyone with this heat. Judi

I did read that Verapimil can help with memory and have also read about Nebivolol being an alternative to Bisopropol. I have had paroxysmal afib for 13 years which became persistent in 2021 and is now permanent. I am aged 77 and am also on Edoxaban. Would appreciate your comments.
