I've had AFIB for 10 years and I've always preferred the Pill in the Pocket. Recently I was advised by my Consultant to try 50 mgs of flecainide and 1.25 mgs of Nebivolol twice a day. I'm only into my fifth day and I find I have constant heartburn since day two.
Previously the PIP usage was 1.25 nebivolol and 150 mgs of Flecainide when I had an episode which worked and didn't give me heartburn. Has anybody else had this problem when taking the medication on a daily basis?
Thank you in advance for your comments and/or advice.

It could be either drug and hopefully the heartburn will get better as your body adjusts.
Meanwhile, a short course of PPI's might help. Antacids like Mylanta can also be useful, but be careful with the timing as they can interfere with the absorption of some medications. You do not have to worry about the timing with PPIs.
If the heartburn still persists, you might ask your doc about switching from nebivolol to diltiazem. They both serve the same nodal blocking function, but you may not have heartburn with the diltiazem.
Try tinkering with when you take the drugs eg one early am the other late pm. Also with Flecainide make sure you wait 3 hours after any food and then wait an hour before eating.
