Frequency of nhs testing?
Some of the time when <1.0 I was taking
ndt
but that doesn't account for all the <1.0 results. Is this just typical Hashimoto's results I wonder? (If sharing this pic is not ok please let me know & I'll delete it.

Tip about antihistamines
I looked it up and antihistamines (Zyrtec, Claritin, Benadryl, et al) can lead to weight gain. Both water retention and fat. How so fat? I can testify Claritin causes intense carb craving which I indulged enough to gain about 7-8 pounds in fairly short order. Forget about serving size -- have a

qol - Erectile Dysfunction Got You Down?
I may be weird (I definitely am), but I find dark humor a good outlet for the stress of cancer, the treatments, SE's, etc. I hope these corny jokes make some of you smile, and maybe even laugh. If my humor isn’t for you, please feel free to skip this post - or contribute your own funny wisecracks.

Now Undetectable PSA on BAT Regimen
Happy to share my latest progress report. Note that I am mHSPC, lymph nodes only to pelvis and abdomen. I have been on long-cycle modified BAT for 2.5 years now. 3 months of very high testosterone (400mg T-cypionate every 2 weeks), then one month of ADT using Orgovyx. My PSA has continued to decline

Very slow start getting treatment and diagnosis
Hi everyone, My dad went to the doctor recently and discovered he has a psa of 255. His doctor ordered him a psma pet scan for a week later which was supposed to be today. He shows up and Kaiser cancelled the scan. They told me it happens a lot that radiology appointments need to be cancelled (? Not

Need to make a decision and I’m absolutely frozen.
[I’m 58 and was diagnosed 7 weeks ago with Gleason 4+3, (9 of 16 cores positive, only two had 4+3. A few 3+4’s and the rest were either 3+3 or negative). Perineural invasion on both sides. Decipher score .88 showing Luminal B Proliferating cells. No spread shown on MRI]. I have been around the gamut

Blood test results on NDT
Hi All, I've just had some blood tests and I'm unsure whether to change my dose or not. I'm currently on 1 3/4 grains of Armour. My results are: TSH: 0.31 (0.27-4.2) T3: 4.05 (3.1-6.8) T4: 9.6 (12-22) Overall, I feel ok. I tend to hit a wall mid afternoon (when my meds are due), but I tend to perk

Help to understand my brother blood test results.
I’m at the moment on
NDT
and things are getting better every day. My brother have some of the symptoms that can be related to hypothyroidism, lack of energy, stomach issues, brain fog… He finally agreed to do some blood test and the doctors told him the results were “normal”.

Testosterone post ADT
My t level is coming back very slowly following salvage radiation + 6 months ADT. I’m 60 years old and after nearly 18 months still have difficulty gaining muscle mass and losing this gut. The good news is my PSA is still undetectable. Any suggestions?

symptoms after increasing armour..
This prospect is making me panic as I feel so crap and hopeless that I won’t be able to get on to the
NDT
properly and iron is so slow to increase. If I know the symptoms will settle eventually I can probably grin and bear it. My main symptoms seam to start around 5 days after increasing.

Am I high risk?
Im now getting confused with all these terms. See my bio. So 1 week into my EBRT, my RO stopped in and asked why Im still on abi+pred. He said when scheduling EBRT I could stop it. I told him my MO said not to stop. In the beginning, my RO intended for me to do Lupron, and only 6 months abi+pred

Severe M.E. + Perimenopause. Titrating Armour NDT & T3, without side effects
I think I started my
NDT
+ T3 too enthusiastically. As you do, when desperate for improvement. 🤪 ------ -May. Started 1/2 grain daily of 60mg Armour
NDT
. -Gradually worked up to 2 grains over 3 months. -Got a few heat surges in torso. Maybe perimeno symptoms? Dr said to be expected with age.

Thoughts on ADT with sRT?
I've been told by several ROs that RT is more effective if given together with ADT, and I think that's pretty widely assumed to be true. I'm wondering, though, if what is seen to be a synergy may instead be only a statistical error. Temporary ADT can lead to permanent testosterone loss in up to 30%

Daily Cialis?
I have castrate-resistant MPC, on ADT for over 4 years and currently on chemo. My urologist and MO recommended I take 5mg Cialis daily to keep the blood flowing down there and prevent atrophy. I hate to take another drug, but will if it is beneficial. Does anyone take daily Cialis and are there any side

adrenal care using the sun
hi I am trying to tolerate
NDT
with not a lot of success. Has anyone ever tried using the sun to regular their cortisol? (Ie. Watch sunrise and go to bed at sunset) instead of shovelling a load of ACE, liquorice root etc etc. in? Keen to hear from any one thanks in advance 🙏🏻😊

Docetaxel efficacy
Hi All Three months after finishing docetaxel my husband’s PSA has risen from 0.3 to 3.4, which the oncologist tells us indicates that the cancer cells are active again, although he’s booked him for a PSMA PET scan to confirm this. We were hoping for at least a year without the need for any more treatment
