Looking for a second opinion, probably from Sloan-Kettering Medical Oncologist
I'm a 79 year old first diagnosed in 2007 (Gleason 6) and treated then with radioactive seeds. PSA got as low as .21 in 2011 but in 2015 began a rapid rise. Multiple prostate biopsies and scans could not find the cancer until nodules in the lungs were considered suspicious and I started taking Casodex

At Home with the Lord
On Nov. 25, 2018 I lost my soul mate of 45 years to recurrent prostate cancer. He was diagnosed 7 years ago as Gleason 8, underwent 42 radiation treatments and 2 Lupron shots, and in Feb., 2018 at age 83 his PSA started rising, to 5.0. When they did a CT scan to restage the prostate cancer, they found

Hi everybody, Looking for some advice if possible please. My Father restarted his third round of hormone blockade ON 22.11.18 (Firmagon and Zytiga) He used Casodex on his first round with Firmagon. Second round was Firmagon and Zytiga only. His starting PSA when diagnosed was 433 in February 2014.

How many of you would pay $2200 for a 3 month supply of Zytiga?
Hi everyone....this is my 2nd post. Diagnosed with pca in September of 2018. Gleason 8 psa was very high. My MO started me on Lupron and Casodex in Oct. 2018. Psa taken on 1/18/19 now (2.0). I am tolerating this combo very well. My ONC wants to switch to Zytiga. Not sure how I will tolerate this combo

Hi Everyone: Just a brief heads-up on my SO who is oligometastatic with two involved lymph nodes. When he was rediagnosed in July ‘17, his PSA was 74. After various permutations to find the most effective therapy, he was put on Casodex 150/day. Today he discovered that his PSA has plummeted to 0.3. We

Anyone on Apalutamide? (Erleada) Might start it, not Provenge, in Feb. if chest&full-body CT scans in a week don't show metastesizing. Problems with it? Downsides? Upsides? Preparation complexities? I have systemic scleroderma, Sjögrens and MS and I’ve been on Avonex for my MS for 9 years now. The last two lab tests my WBC has been low and the last one was the lowest yet at 3.1. The low end of normal for this lab is 4.0. The lab test before this last one my neurologist said not to worry, but this
