Upcoming appt. with urologist
Hi Warriors, I attend a bi-monthly PCa group of about 18 men; most have no more prostate. I still have mine and will be consulting with a urologist surgeon whom the group trusts. Dr. K's creds do not include oncology but he seems more knowledgeable in all aspects of PCa than some oncs I've dealt with

Casodex and Lupron
I just got my first 3 month Lupron shot on Tuesday. Am I supposed to continue taking Casodex as well? My MO is taking forever to answer. UPDATE 2/7/2020: My MO just said to stop taking it. We're doing a PSA test 7 weeks after my Lupron to see where we are. Thanks

Zometa was suggested today Although need clearance from my dentist because possible jaw side effects.
I found out only 1.6% who take zometa have a jaw issue ok I can live with those odds although I understand the 3 to 4 week infusion outcomes are comparable to the 12 week infusions. 2016, rad prostectomy. 2017, 37 sessions radiation. Lupron casodex, Recently diagnosed with L3 lesion after zytiga failed

Starting Casodex before Lupron
I had a BCR in Nov. 2019 = PSA 0.3, My PSADT is 1.8 months. My MO wants to start me on Casodex a month before my first Lupron shot. My 12/28/2019 bone scan results are due next week. If they're clear, MO wants a PET scan to see if it's in soft tissue. Is this the way to go? Thanks

New member seeking strength and hope

Prostate Cancer Drug Could Protect Bone Marrow from Damage Caused by Radiation
Are they talking about Casodex? - and if so, and it's known to be safe, why not try this now?!!: “Giving the mice a single dose of the LHRH-blocking drug 24 hours after the radiation hit was enough to protect them from its lethal effects,” says Enrico Velardi, a scientist in the van den Brink lab and

Casodex and high PSA
I have gone through most of usual suspects of treatments (including all listed in the MDAnderson standard protocol for all stages) the last being NUBEQA which just last week left me with a PSA of 130. My problem is extensive lymph node metastasis. Will Casodex work on this and at what level? Does 150mg

Oligometastatic PC and Radiation
Hello all. My 68 year old husband had a routine physical about six months ago that showed a PSA of 77. His PSA had not been tested for seven years prior (which infuriates me). He then had a biopsy that showed Gleason 9 (4+5) prostate cancer. Twelve samples were taken; only one sample was benign. Two
