Hi all --- (original post gone) -- Determined despite devastation. Looking at "What next." Husband Barry was diagnosed last August with pc, extensive bone mets, no pain (cancer found on Xray after he pulled muscle when kayaking). PSA over 60 when he started Casodex followed by Lupron. It dropped to 4

Stopping Casodex before stopping Lupron
I am on day 30/34 of IMRT Salvage Radiation. I started Bicalutimide just prior to starting Leuprolide Acetate back in November. I have tolerated the ADT treatment fairly well with minimal side effects. A Decipher test was performed midway through this per my request and my Decipher score came back

Undetectable 5 years and 2 months after DX of Metastatic PC w/ a PSA of 209
Hi Battle Brothers and Sisters. I don't post much, but always follow your posts. I just had my labs done today and as usual I was suffering from pre-test PSA anxiety the past few days. I was needless to say delighted and feel very lucky that I am still undetectable. If somebody told me when I was DX'ed

Upcoming appt. with urologist
Hi Warriors, I attend a bi-monthly PCa group of about 18 men; most have no more prostate. I still have mine and will be consulting with a urologist surgeon whom the group trusts. Dr. K's creds do not include oncology but he seems more knowledgeable in all aspects of PCa than some oncs I've dealt with

Casodex and Lupron
I just got my first 3 month Lupron shot on Tuesday. Am I supposed to continue taking Casodex as well? My MO is taking forever to answer. UPDATE 2/7/2020: My MO just said to stop taking it. We're doing a PSA test 7 weeks after my Lupron to see where we are. Thanks

Zometa was suggested today Although need clearance from my dentist because possible jaw side effects.
I found out only 1.6% who take zometa have a jaw issue ok I can live with those odds although I understand the 3 to 4 week infusion outcomes are comparable to the 12 week infusions. 2016, rad prostectomy. 2017, 37 sessions radiation. Lupron casodex, Recently diagnosed with L3 lesion after zytiga failed

Starting Casodex before Lupron
I had a BCR in Nov. 2019 = PSA 0.3, My PSADT is 1.8 months. My MO wants to start me on Casodex a month before my first Lupron shot. My 12/28/2019 bone scan results are due next week. If they're clear, MO wants a PET scan to see if it's in soft tissue. Is this the way to go? Thanks
