My experience
I first started having symptoms which I identified as probably being Parkinson's symptoms in approximately November 2019. My husbands face to face visit with his Neuro!
My husband had a face to face visit to his Neuro yesterday, not seen him since before the lockdown, October 2019 although he has had one telephone appointment. The Neuro asked him how he was what dosage of meds he was on, watched him walking, tested his hands said he was fine for driving, as that is

Any thoughts here?
My husband was put on GABApentin, stilnox and madopar. He only used madopar once. He’s afraid to continue it. Although he did notice last night his legs were more restless without it . This process is so frustrating as he’s been withdrawing from opiates since one month. Any feedback from anyone is helpful

GABApentin/ pregabalin? Same ??
So are pregabalin and GABApentin the same drugs with different names? I am a bit worried as my husband just started GABApentin. He used pregabalin years ago but it made him very depressed he had to stop it immediately.. So the neurologist currently prescribed, GABApentin, stilnox and madopar to use

Is this progression normal
My husband, diagnosed 2015, is really struggling. He feels rough all the time. Main symptoms are shuffling, stoop (causing back ache), balance, slowness and lack of energy so exercise is very limited. On Sinemet 3 hourly, Rasagiline 1mg and Madopar 62.5 daily + Neupro patch 4mg. Nothing new seems to

Why do I feel restless during the day?
I would really appreciate some advice. I have just been diagnosed with PD and have recently started on Madopar medication. I am still on a very low dosage and the nurse told me that it will take a few more weeks to reach therapeutic levels. Prior to my diagnosis I was experiencing a lot of spasms,

Need Advice
My husband has been dosing with MP Nutravita and zandopa mix with green tea for awhile now and he usually gets 3 hours of relief with each dose, but lately dystonia has been hitting him hard in the afternoon and evenings and his tremor gets worse too later in the day/evenings. We have tried adding extra

Muscle tightening
Hi I have posted here before and got an immense amount of help and knowledge from other PD sufferers. My wife has had PD diagnosed two years ago but because her doctor told her that medication she was on probably caused the onset as it appeared overnight she now refuses all medication. She was on Madopar

Depressed lost alone all too real
Hi everyone Sorry to be on a dark pathway. But lately I've come to realise what I have got. I was diagnosed with CBD by my neurologist nearly a year ago. Lately I seem to be in a lot of pain. But then I think am I? I see and hear things that I know aren't there. Is it just the way that this horrible

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had problems or no problems with Madopar (Roche) products available in NZ. I am thinking of trying their range - sounds like fine wines doesn't!

I'm suffering badly with Pramipexole withdrawal despite help with Temgesic. Any advice please.
I'm sorry I've been off the forum lately but I'm really struggling with coming off Pramipexole. I have been reducing the prami by about a quarter of a 0.125/.088 a week and been taking Temgesic since early October. The Temgesic can no longer control the RL so I'm wondering what I can do next. Madopar contain Mannitol! Who knew?
Just looking at the leaflet with my new supply of Madopar, and see that the lowest strength version contains Mannitol. Who knew? Would be interesting to know why.

Reaching Out
For the last 4 years I have walked out 6kms 3-4 times per week with a large group of friends. This year I walked twice in about August due to bushfire smoke, a chest infection that wouldn't go away and Covid. I also attended an exercise class once per week up until 2 months ago. I have increased my

Does anyone take both Madopar and Sertraline ?
I take Zoloft for my Bipolar and have taken many other medications in the past. The sertraline actually works without most of the horrid side effects of other things. I've had RLS for a while but it's become extremely bad over the last 6 months and my insomnia is causing a range of problems for me. My

Meds and movement
Hi all. Funny thing happened to me this morning and I wondered if anybody else has experiences of movement (either it's presence or absence) affecting their meds? Two days ago I heard a neurologist on YT claiming that not only was an hour before food the best time to wait when taking meds, but that
