Liver lesion op.
Hi everyone I have finally had the lesion on my liver removed. Went OK and I feel surprisingly well after a 4 hour op. Only problem is I have to wait 4-6 weeks for the biopsy results. The surgeon said they also found a cavity where my gall bladder meets my bowel, had my gall bladder removed last

Dopamine Dysregulation Syndrome
Definition here; https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dopamine_dysregulation_syndrome How can docs be sure? A lot of the alleged "symptoms" would be entirely understandable from someone denied a medication that helps...and I don't get anything like euphoria from taking it...just a cessation of physical symptoms

Intravenous C
I was reading this short report (our BAT friends are involved) thinking it showed real promise for C, then in conclusion they say no. Agreed the p values are high, the CIs are wide, but the results were so lopsided that to me it merely means the trial was underpowered and C is worth a try. High-Dose

Doctors.... blood tests..... need I say more??
I have Hashis, Addisons and a slew of other things.... my old consultant (private not NHS) often called me a modern medical mystery! I have Addisons (PAI) but about 2 years after my diagnosis I had to have steroid injections in my spine- caused my BP to rise to dangerous levels and it's never come down

Doublet Therapy for Metastatic Prostate Cancer
Hi all - Curious if anyone here was prescribed doublet therapy for metastatic prostate cancer? My dad, 73 (Initial PSA 151, Gleason 9, 4 small mets to pelvis, spine, tailbone) had an appointment today, and his MO indicated that he would like to proceed with doublet therapy. I wasn't aware he would

Fibroscan worries
Hello I wondered if anyone has had a Fibroscan result like mine - 349 CAP and 13.9 Kpa ? Iām very overweight but not much of a drinker and really worried the prognosis will be dire - Iāve a long wait before seeing a consultant. Does anyone know of this is likely to be cirrhosis and irreversible or

CT3M Method - some questions
I shared recently that I hadnāt been feeling quite as good on my T3 recently as I had earlier on in my treatment (which started just over a couple of years ago). With that in mind, I decided to re-read Paul Robinsonās excellent Recovering with T3 book, and the section on circadian T3 (or CT3M) resonated

Chemical Companies and PD
I did some research using ChatGPT, an Artificial Intelligence Bot, to learn about which executives running chemical companies knew that their products caused Parkinson's Disease, and whether they were punished for their greed-driven depraved indifference toward their victims - the thousands or millions

What's it like to have a husband, Dad, or dear friend with prostate cancer?
If you are reading this, you are either diagnosed with prostate cancer or are concerned enough to be information hunting for someone you care about. There are many characterizations and attempts at defining "caregiver." At Malecare, if you are here, and do not have prostate cancer, then you are a caregiver
