Hi Everyone, Looking for some advice or anyone who's been through a similar experience. I had Endo 3 years ago some of my main symptoms where bowel issues bloating, gassy, stomach cramps and diarrhea whenever I ate to much. Initially the doctor put it down to IBS. Obviously that wasn't the case and it

Thing is, it often grows back, mine is deep near some very tricky areas like blood supplies and my bowel, I also don't want to go back on all those contraceptive chemicals or the mirena coil, as she suggested (oh so painful), and most importantly of all, I don't want children.

I'm going back to see the consultant in 3 months for a scan which will confirm or deny the adenomyosis and they've fitted me with a mirena coil which will help as it's localised hormones. I just feel helpless.

I have had two laparoscopic surgeries and a successful few years on the mirena coil. After an unbearable few months it has been recommended that we induce early menopause to manage. The big question is Hormones vs hysterectomy. Anyone been here before? Please!

They also inserted a mirena coil. I’m still daily pain with cramps, usually starting mid morning and easing off into the afternoon. I just wondered if anyone else was experiencing cramps for that long after?

What i’m trying to say is does anyone with AIH have any experience with the Mirena coil that can reassure me that everything is okay. Thank you, Maddy

Headache, severe mood swings, depression etc etc I'm known to be hormone medicine resistant like the Mirena coil and other contraceptive never worked for me. So I'm not sure if this is the same effect for the new medicines as well . Does someone relate to this problem. Any advice?

Iv recently had the marina coil put in and ever since I've been having alot of side effects. Head aches Bleeding Discharge And hell of lot of pains at times its making me cry as im in so much pain and discomfort. My gynaecologist recommended I try it for months. The gynaecologist is totally refusing

Mirena still in place. Managed to flight back to London and my friend took me to the Saint Mary’s Hospital and they confirmed the fibroid of 8cm with no definite margins and adenomyosis. No signs of Mirena anymore. Was given bio identical progesterone which cut my persistent bleeding by 90%.

Just wondering if anyone with endo has also had the Mirena and had a positive experience with it? I have endometriosis in my cervix, fallopian tubes, bowel and rectum and feel like everything I eat is hurting my stomach.

My gyno appointment at the end of the week their meant to suggest doing a laparoscopy to see if i do ave Endometriosis and people keep suggested i ask for them to put the mirena coil in while they do.

Finally a doctor started treating me for suspected endo this year based on symptoms but i already had a mirena coil fitted. She's just focussing on pain relief meds but i'm wondering whether i should be pushing for more investigation/gynae referral/lap surgery (although i don't really want that).

Last year I was suffering with extreme bloating and nausea and I paid to see a private gynaecologist who put me back on the pill alongside the mirena and I improved. Now at the end of every period I get thrush 😢 and before every period I feel like I have a water infection 😢😢.

Can I have the mirena coil?

After having many operations she was finally fitted with a Mirena Coil at the age of 40 and eventually this was quite successful.However she has had the present one in now for approx 9 years and the doctor says she cannot have another one as she is 53 and showing all the signs of the menopause and needs

I should mention that I don't have regular period as I have mirena coil and progesterone pill to help manage endometriosis. I do get occasional spotting which the GP aware of and my smears are up to date.

Apologies in advance for the long post but if anyone can offer any advice I’d appreciate it! I was admitted into hospital 2 years ago for what was suspected appendicitis. I had a lap to have it removed and once inside they seen cysts and endo which was what was the cause of the pain nothing to do with

I had the mirena, and I had 2 rounds of the depo injection and I'm still bleeding so so bad. 2 periods a month now on average, so I'm finally on the list for a hysterectomy. Doctor has now put me on tranexamic acid in the hope that it will help.

I had the Mirena replaced during the surgery and I ended up feeling very suicidal, so I'm trying to avoid more hormones until I'm absolutely desperate.

Also, may sound stupid but if you have the Mirena & GnRH + Tibolone - is there a possibility I could start bleeding again?
