Aristo levothyroxine
I'm 54yrs old, just had my
mirena
coil taken out and probably menopausal which I feel is all adding to my depression but I'm 99% sure levothyroxine Aristo had made things do much worse

Copper IUD and Endometriosis link
Hi, I’m curious to find out if having the copper coil (non hormonal one - not
Mirena
) may have triggered my endometriosis. Especially where mine was (uteral ligaments - behind the womb). Just wondered if anyone else has had a Copper coil and since suffered with Endo?

Excision - is it worth it?

Feeling lost
Hi everyone, To cut long story short, I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis 6 years ago after a cyst exploded. I have had 2 surgeries, zoladex injections, marina coil, mini pill, depot-provera injections and the contraceptive implant. I have bled through all of these and have been on a seemingly

Fobbed off and fed up
I've tricycled my pill and also had a
mirena
coil, which was removed due to bleeding after 3 years of having it.

Anyone had adhesions removed to then be told it isn’t endometriosis?
I saw the gynae who basically just wanted to check in as I had the
mirena
coil fitted at the lap. I’ve still been in pain and getting all the same symptoms since the lap they’ve just been eased slightly. The gynae is just putting it down to the coil needing to settle.

Constant localised pain
Hello, I was diagnosed with endometriosis last year, had a laproscopy and they removed a large endometrial cyst, removed all the endometriosis they could find and fitted a marina coil. I'm having the same pain in the side the cyst used to be, a throbbing sharp pain, comes and goes and gets worse if

Boosting Low labido, Testosterone, progesterone
I know oestrogen can have a negative impact on thyroid function but I am debating the mini pill or
mirena
as progeterone only. I am already taking zinc and try to manage stress and get enough sleep. Help I want my sex drive back!

Stage 4 endo diagnosed with emergency laparoscopy. Zoladex prescribed for 6m with follow up surgery after that. Seeking advice.
I was also thinking about getting the
mirena
coil put in after all the surgeries are done to try and control it. Has anyone had any success with this? But yeah literally any advice would be useful! Also apologies for the monster essay!

Mirena
I have tried twice to have the
Mirena
inserted but the pain and discomfort was too much. The last doctor said it appears the
Mirena
is not going to be suitable for me. I don’t suppose anyone has had a similar experience and can suggest alternatives?

Can an IUS help with limb numbness?
The only thing they're offering me at the moment is a
Mirena
coil. Does anyone know whether an IUS can help the numbness? I've thought about going private, but the decision is very difficult as the issue has affected my ability to work and I don't know whether I'll still have a job next month.

struggling with endo belly
hi all!! Not been on for a while but am glad to see this is still going strong. I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2015, I tried everything and eventually settled with the marina coil which improved my symptoms drastically. In 2018 I had the coil removed to try for a baby and was lucky enough to

advice on endo
My consultant really wants me to have the
mirena
coil but I have always been against this. I really don’t feel comfortable having this but feel like I’m left with no option. My consultant has said he can either admit me for another lap or fit me with the coil.

Help interpreting results & likelihood of diagnosis if I saw a private practitioner.
My latest idea is to get the
mirena
coil fitted to allow me to apply more oestrogen. I’m hoping that this will help with some of the symptoms. Scheduled to have coil fitted next week (currently using Evorel conti patches). Absolutely cannot tolerate oral progesterone.

Dienogest and the coil
Hi everyone, My doctor prescribed me Dienogest for endo pain and said it was fine to take it even though I have a
mirena
coil. However, in the leaflet it says not to take it if you have a coil… does anyone have any idea?

First period after laproscopy
I also had a
mirena
coil fitted. Post surgery I felt okay, I rested and really tried to take care of myself and didn't have to take any pain relief except paracetamol twice. My period arrived on Saturday ( when it was due) and it's like hell has unleashed.

Womb tilted to the right Mirena Coil?
I’ve been recommended the
Mirena
coil. Will it be safe to fit it? Will it be more painful? I also have suspected adenomyosis. Anyone out there with a womb tilted to the side rather than backwards or forwards, with experience of this? Thanks Christina x
