RLS relief
When I was diagnosed my doc started me on on Pramipexole (
Mirapex
). I took that with doc increasing over time until it got to the point I was not getting any relief from the medicine. I started seeing a movement disorder/sleep doc. Things are a little better, but could be a lot better.

Sinimet?
Ny neuro has prescribed Sinimet IN ADDITION to the
Mirapex
I am already taking. (nights have been bad.) I’m like - another nasty drug? Anyone taking this or have any comments, etc.? My RLS was GREAT. Taking iron and was sleeping well, etc. It has returned with a vengeance and that was his solution?

Abdominal stiffness and constipation for a week
Hi all, For the last 5 or 6 days I’ve had a dull stiffness or tightness in my abdomen (lower ribs, belly, back sides). Felt full. I was also a little more bloated than normal and felt v constipated (wasn’t passing nearly as much gas). I went to the doc twice the first few days and one said gastroenteritis

Tramadol Prescription for Refractory RLS?
*One more note: After 10 years of use, I had to basically quit
Mirapex
cold turkey (due to augmentation) which was 1 week of absolute hell and then another 2 weeks after feeling like crap before I started to feel like myself.

Skin prick testing
Hi! I have had reactions to miralax and also medications that contain polysorbate 80 so I went in to be tested today. The 3 different strengths of miralax or polyethylene glycol were tested. The first was negative. The second two stronger ones I did develop a bump but very small, with the highest strength

Negative FIT but still worried
Hi— Thanks for any advice you can give. I have dealt with constipation for a few years, basically during my second pregnancy and after. About a month ago I did both the DIY FIT test, and the one in my doctor’s office (so 4 stool samples) and all came back negative. However, I’m still suffering from constipation

Need advice to get off Mirapex!
After taking
Mirapex
for 10 years (now at .75mg) I am trying again to get off it as augmentation has become worse than my RLS. My doctor isn't helpful; he says just stop taking it! What protocols have been successful for others?

Gabapentin/Pregabalin - Who is actually finding this helps their RLS?
Apart from 0.5 mg Clonazepam, I take 0.26 mg of Prolonged Release
Mirapex
plus 2 co-dydramol (10/500) plus 1 high strength Senokot to prevent constipation. This little cocktail works a miracle for me. After my hot bath in the evening, I go to bed and sleep 8-9 hours.

Dog tired
Lamictal,
Mirapex
, and an maoi. Just over a serious depressive episode a couple of years ago. What’s happening now is a mystery to me. I have what can only be called “attacks” of almost paralyzing fatigue that are coming over me with increasing frequency lately.

Could I have Augmentation?
I was on a different med first (can't remember the name), but then was switched to
Mirapex
, which I've been on now for I'm guessing about 13 years. I started out taking .25 only as needed at night, which then went up to every night.

Surviving RLS when on bedrest
My neurologist just switched me from
Mirapex
to Requip with klonopin at night. I’m still miserable. Now he’s adding Sinemet. I feel like a drug store. It’s becoming a full time job to manage medication. Also worried about dependency.
