ADvice for next GP appointment
Hi all. I am due to see my GP next week and will be going asking for him to do something - ANYTHING to help with the RLS. I've tried Mirapexin with poor results - augmentation and terrible side-effects. I've tried several anti-depressants which made the RLS worse and I've tried Tramadol which worked

Wanting to get OFF Ropinirole!!!
I have tried all kinds of alternatives...
Mirapex
, Gabapentin, Lyrica, muscle relaxants, etc. nothing but nothing stops the legs from kicking, jumping and moving except the Ropinirole! I just hate the way it makes me feel and I am convinced it has worsened my condition.

Hello everyone - the RLS saga continues
I'm 11 days off
Mirapex
; sleep is intermittent if I get any at all. Not using a Neupro patch. Has anyone out there actually weaned off
Mirapex
and regained their life back? I'm starting to feel that is not even possible. Trying the Methadone right now - it sucks. Terrie

PD. Sleep Issues - Any Advise
Hi. I was diagnosed with PD in June 2012 I am currently on 100/25 Co-careldopa, x3 per day, 2.62mg Mirapexin & 10mg Seligiline. My issues are that I am constantly tired. I tend to grab 4-5 hours sleep at night but wake at around 0400. I'm struggling to stay awake at work throughout the day at the computer

THE NO FOOD DIET IS WORKING!
My gastro doctor put me on a diet 2 weeks ago that is really working for my constipation, gas, and abdominal pain. My husband calls it the "No food" diet. But since I have Adhesive bowel disease caused by previous surgical scars and Parkinson's Disease, I was ready for anything. Diet is simple: gluten

Iron, buyer beware
If
Mirapex
helps the d2 receptors in our brains it also helps the ones in our guts. Iron is a dopamine agonist, maybe the finest dopamine agonist of all times, but it comes with a price. Just wanted all of you to be aware of that inconvenient fact.

The first pill which I took 2 hrs before bed time, just knocked me out and I could not sleep for 48 hrs, I didn't take a second pill, since
Mirapex
is known to treat RLS and to relieving neuropathic pain, I would like to read your side of viewpoint about this what is a real pain reliever you could suggest

Mirapex
ER.

Side Effects of Mirapex EQ
Mirapex
EQ was prescribed for my husband to replace the Sinamet that has caused difficult facial tics/dyskenesia. I read about the possible side effects but would like to hear from anyone who takes this med. Is it as effective as Sinamet?

Problems, Heart Attack or Acid Reflux caused by Anxiety?
I have never been diagnosed with a heart problem or Gerd, however my family has a history of both. Once again though it is usually only found in the men of the family. Anyways, for the past week to two weeks I've been having a plethora of problems. The first week was constipation, bloating, nausea and

Neupro patch a learning experience
I'm on the Neupro 2mg patch after a ridiculously difficult cold turkey weaning from
Mirapex
(1.5mg nightly). I'm finding that there are a few things the directions don't mention but that seem to make a difference in how well it works. 1.

Neupro 2mg
There was also a night when the edges of the patch didn't stick and I had some
Mirapex
withdrawal symptoms again; then I looked at the wrapper for the patch and it was expired. I'm hoping this keeps up. Fingers crossed.

Is it me or did I just miss a decade?
The leader(s) in the RLS field, who ignored this inconvenient fact, and continued to prescribe away, at ever higher doses, over the past decade or TWO, allowed drug companies (that produced
Mirapex
and the like) to reap billions of dollars in profit that they never would have otherwise.

Mirapex withdrawal complete... now what?
So it's 1:48 in the morning in good old Maryland and I'm awake. The 2mg Neupro patch made me throw up so I went without a patch all day yesterday. I even sat on a very soft sofa holding my new granddaughter for 2 hours in the early afternoon and never felt a twinge. Of course I was very distracted

10th day off Mirapex but it was pure hell getting here.
After 20 years on
Mirapex
during which time my dosage was quadrupled, a well known sleep researcher informed me that I was going through augmentation and needed to come off of the drug.
