Faslodex vs Letrozole
Following up on Faslodex post by caw15. Why do oncs decide to switch from Letrozole to Faslodex? Is it because of side effects not as severe as Letrozole?

Hi all. This is my 1st post. A little synopsis about myself. Diagnosed with breast cancer with Mets to bones and liver in Feb this year. On ibrance and letrozole mainly. I had a bit of a rough time with opiate pain relief which compromised my treatment and although I have been on ibrance since 15th

New on Ibrance and letrozole
I took my 1st dose yesterday. I’d like to know what you’ve found to be most important on this journey. I walk a mile or 2 every day and eat a healthy diet. What month do you start feeling the meds? When do you start seeing results? My breast cancer has spread to lesions on my back. I’ll have CT scan

Anyone out there with recurrent non-metastatic breast cancer?
Hi everyone, I'm new here and I hope you can help me. I was first diagnosed in 2009 with stage 2 IDC(invasive ductal carcinoma) in my right breast. Had a lumpectomy, chemo (ACT) and 6 weeks of radiation. In March 2013, I found another lump in the same breast. Had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction

Thinning hair - supplements??
Good morning all I thought I would ask you lovely people if you can advise on your experience with supplements. I had 8/8 oestrogen positive breast cancer. Currently on zoladex and letrozole for the past 2 years and will continue for a bit. I'm trying to tackle one depressing aspect of my life at a time

ANASTROZOLE 1 MG TABLET
Has anyone tried this as alternative to Letrozole; my joint pain is debilitating at times (typically the week off Ibrance)? My ONC said there is another one to try before opting for the once monthly shots (I forget the name of that)? Also some talk of brain fog due to lack of estrogen I think—does that

Flu jab
I am due to have a flu jab on 26th Sept. I have 2 questions about the timing. I have just started a short course of steroids for a cough - 10 days only. I think the cough is the after effects from from primary lung cancer radiotherapy treatment. I take Ibrance and Letrozole for secondary breast

Tamoxifen with fluoxetine
Has anyone been prescribed tamoxifen while on fluoxetine? I had to change from letrozole to tamoxifen recently because of side effects causing me bladder problems but have recently read fluoxetine inhibits the effectiveness of the tamoxifen. Should I be worrying about this. The oncology doctor agreed

First timer - how does a short protocol work?
Hello ladies I'm brand new to this forum. After 10 unsuccessful rounds of clomid and letrozole, we have now been referred to start ivf. My nhs consultant said it would likely be a 'short protocol' due to my pcos. My question is about how the process starts if I don't have any normal cycles. From what

Contemplating switching from Femara to Anastrazole
Hi! Afraid of change, per usual. Anyone make this change previously? The reason my oncologist suggested it was the side effects of letrozole (maybe Ibrance too) @ times put me down-as I feel like day after car accident feels or I’m 80-90 years old. My reluctance to change is for following reasons: 1

Aromatase & CRPC cells
New study below [1]. ERα is the alpha estrogen receptor [ER]. In healthy prostates it is found in stromal cells. ERbeta is found in healthy epithelial cells, but there is a switch to ERα as PCa develops. ERα promotes growth. Aromatase [CYP19A1] is the enzyme that converts testosterone [T] to

Hi everyone! It's so great to have a supportive community that understands exactly what I'm going through. Thank you all! I am on 125 mg of Ibrance, Letrozole, and Zoladex. For the last 2 weeks, I wake up feeling good, but develop a fever of aroun 99-100 degrees every day between 8 and 10 and feel

Hello I’ve been a bit quiet on here recently after my first IVF round was cancelled prior to egg collection due to lack of response. (I have lots of follicles they just refuse to grow). I’m currently on day 10 of my second round and despite a higher menopur dose it seems that my follicles have once
