Melanoma Recurrence after 10 Years
Hi everyone, my name is Corey, I'm 31, and have recently found a recurrence of
melanoma
after almost 10 years NED. In 2008, I had a WLE of a mole removed from my left calf, as well as SLN (which tested positive) and 20 lymph nodes (not positive).

Melanoma Stage 4 local recurrance
Today I will accompany my husband for another wide excision of two new
melanoma
spots on his left leg. Once was removed in July with widely clean margins, and he continues on Keytruda (just had round 42).

Introduction
My wife has stage 3
melanoma
. She had the lymph nodes removed from her leg which has caused lymphadema. I perform LMD massage nightly, but seem to get little relief. She is a couple months away from the end of a Keytruda drug trial. I am interested in additional ways to help reduce swelling.

Turns out it was
melanoma
. Seems to be metastasized from tumor that was removed 30 years ago on his back. He's also had colon cancer 3 times (eventually removed colon entirely), gone through radiation once and chemo twice.

Light-brown spot on my left thigh
The worst case could be a skin cancer, but it's too light for a
melanoma
. It used to be smaller a year ago or so, but I never really paid much attention to it. It used to have a little dry skin over it back in the day, but now it's just a light-brown spot. It's at the size of a 50 euro cent coin.

Melanoma treatment Keytruda in conjunction with Yervoy. Outcomes?
My husband has
melanoma
, non-resectable Stage IV. He also has CLL. So far he has been treated with opdivo which reduced the tumors initially but had to be discontinued due to hemolytic anemia brought on by the CLL.

Immunotherapy for Prostate Cancer: Where Do We Go From Here?—PART 1: Prostate Cancer Vaccines
This has been noted in several other clinical contexts, including in pre-approval trials of checkpoint inhibitors in metastatic
melanoma
and renal cell carcinoma,[12,13] and it raises the important question of what are the most appropriate parameters for measuring efficacy in the age of novel immunotherapies

Up Late
Took my sister to her 3 month post scan consult today and though I know the path of
melanoma
and her particularly aggressive tumors was still shocked to hear the news that her liver tumors are at 8 and 9 centimeters and it is continuing to spread and grow despite the clinical trials and drugs.

Foundation Testing
The NCD covers five tumor types: ovarian, lung, breast, colorectal, and
melanoma
. But Cox said it will be an expandable NCD, and Foundations aim is to make the test a universal platform for CDx development that is "evergreen" in nature, frequently being updated.

Newly diagnosed
I was just diagnosed with
melanoma
and I’m seeing the plastic surgeon this week for wide margin incision. My mom has the gene and went through this process but it was 15 years ago. Any info on what to expect would be great! Thank you!

Feel like giving up, but hanging in there for now...
My mother died of cancer about 11 years ago and my brother has
melanoma
. I have a history of getting involved with men and friends that end up lying to me and/or betraying me so I can’t trust anyone. There is so much more…. I have been working with a Psychiatrist for about 2 years.

CLL Treatments using Ibrutinib
Started Ibrutinib in 2015 and had to stop after 3 months to remove an unrelated
Melanoma
. Went back on Ibrutinib in Aug 2017. Experiencing mouth sores but using baking soda helped. Also having bouts of Thrush, but Nystatin helps a lot. Now Ibrutinib not working well enough.

Scared of biopsy results
When I got home, I got on the internet and saw that it could be
melanoma
and now I am simply scared to death. I just became a mother to my lovely child and I have more excitement to live than ever before. I am extremely worried about the results.
