Hi im 22 years old female, i was diagnosed yesterday by physical examination and i saw doctor write my current diagnose is melanoma (malignant?)

I was shocked. I got wide exicion in lateral side of my buttocks.

I just wanna know how you deal with the pathologist result about your melanoma?

Did your doctor talk to you further? I would be scared to only see melanoma written down with no further detail!

If I were in your shoes I would reach back out to my doctor, ask for clarification and try to do something I enjoy while I wait for my results.

Dealing with a cancer diagnosis is difficult and different for everyone. For my original diagnoses I was told over the phone on a Friday evening at 4pm. I had no one to answer my question or even explain what having cancer meant. For the next few days I kept as busy as possible between boughts of crying and fear. Once I was able to get some reassurance from my Doctors. I turned to my Faith and Family for support.

Hi. I have Stage 4 metastic melanoma I know what your saying I was lost trying to find out everything I could. Looking for answers on how interferon would affect me it's good to know someone else is on the journey I am I will follow your posting if you need to talk I do a lot.
