wean off Medrol for adrenal fatigue?
I have a question about adrenal fatigue and hope it's OK to ask it here. I was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue four years ago, based on blood and 24 h urine (the latter showing even lower cortisol levels than blood), and put on Medrol. At most, I have taken 6 mg daily (which I was told is considered

can adrenaline cause anxiety attacks?
Sorry if this question sounds strange, but I have had the most unusual experience in the past few days, and I wonder if it could be adrenaline-related: A few days ago, I started taking Nutri Advanced Adrenal Extra, or NAX as it is often referred to, which some UK patients have had recommended to them

have seen four so called top doctors, so really in need of advice
OK, so I am feeling pretty confused right now, and would really appreciate some advice on how to move further: I went to see my first Hertoghe doctor in 2004, in H's practice. I had been on thyroxine for three years, after being diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease in late 2000, but it never did much

On Monday I had my first appointment with a rheumatologist. I was counting down the days and hours the previous week as I have been in absolute agony with all the pains in my body. My hands and fingers have been so bad over the last few weeks I have been out of my mind with pain. I first became ill

adrenal cortex or adrenal extract?
Sorry if this has been asked before. I read recently that patients with more severe adrenal fatigue can feel better on adrenal extract, while patients with mild or moderate AF should try adrenal cortex (ACE) first. It seems products with adrenal extracts contain more ingredients, and possibly more helpful

How to cope with accidents when immune suppressed by steroids?
Hi Folks, Sorry this will be a mini essay!!! I cut my finger badly last week, stabbed while taking the plastic film off a cucumber. Anyway just after it I was very unwell from what seemed like a mini adrenal crisis. I went upstairs to get my shoes on to go to A&E as the wound was very deep, and suddenly

Hip Replacement/Low Hemoglobin
Hi Everyone, hope all are somewhat well. Had the left hip replaced. After 7 days, pain is horrific. Motion is intentionally limited to keep the implant from "popping out". Am in a rehab now for two weeks. In ICU, after waking up from the operation --- saw " double". -- scared. In that groggy state

best adrenal support when weaning off prescription drugs...?
I was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue four years ago, after a Hertoghe doctor decided my cortisol levels in blood and 24 h urine were low/suboptimal. I was put on Medrol, as I tended to retain fluid (most likely because I had been on thyroxine only for about 15 years at the time...). Since then, I have

the best time to measure FT3 levels?
OK, so I have a question about so called normal lab results. The reason I am asking is that I have always read and been told (by doctors and lab technicians alike) that you should go to the lab at least 24 hours after taking thyroid medication. Instead of Isocort?
I took Isocort for more than two years and did great on it. Then, it was reformulated, and they went from sheep adrenal to plant-based derivatives. Not so good anymore. Finally, Isocort was discontinued altogether. I have never tried hydrocortisone, but I have been on Medrol for the past couple of years

how to find the best treatment for hypoT?
I really need some advice from others here who have been through the same thing. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's) fifteen years ago, after feeling crappy for years and being told I suffered from depression, and that my weight gain was only due to junk food and lack of exercise... Anyway

adrenal fatigue treatment questions
orry if this has been discussed before. I have been on Medrol for adrenal fatigue for the past three years. It works even though I do not really realise it. What I mean is that I forget to bring it on a trip recently and, after about 24 hours, I started feeling more tired than usual. So it definitely

Methylprednisolone
I live in the States, and was wondering if anyone on here is on Medrol (methylprednisolone)? From what I understand it is prednisone but just works a little different in the body. My question is if anyone would know how to go about tapering on this drug because the smallest pill I can get is 4mg. So

adrenal glandular vs adrenal cortex?
I have been taking American Biologics Adrenal Cortex lately, and have been doing well on it. Since I have been reading glowing reviews on Adrenal Glandular, also by AB, I decided to try that as well, in order to decide which one is best for me, or if I could possibly combine both, depending on how I

best treatment for adrenal fatigue? Confused!
I have a question on adrenal fatigue: I read recently that you should never take drugs like Prednisone or Medrol for adrenal fatigue, but only HC (if anything). I have been on Medrol for a couple of years now, and the reason my doctor (trained by Hertoghe) would not put me on HC was because I tended

HC always best for treating adrenal fatigue?
I hope it's ok to ask questions about adrenal fatigue here. I have been on Medrol for the past three years for adrenal fatigue (prescribed by a Hertoghe doctor). I was told the reason I could not take hydrocortisone (HC) was because I tended to retain fluid (this was when I was still on T4 drugs only

adrenal fatigue treatment?
I have been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue, and have been on Medrol since 2011. I have tried to wean off it several times, so far without success. The only thing I've managed to do was to go from 6 mg to 4 mg daily. Years ago, I was on Isocort, and did great on it. That was before I had been officially

adrenal fatigue support?!
I would like to know if anyone else has been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue, and if you have managed to treat in successfully (with the help of your doctor or on your own). If so, how? I have been diagnosed with AF by two so called top docs in Belgium. One put me on Medrol, the other one on a supplement

male hormones?
I am curious to find out if anyone here has been prescribed testosterone? I am not sure what to think about T supplementation in women, and it seems to be a highly controversial subject. My doctor (a Hertoghe doctor) said my T levels were lowish, and prescribed Testim. In the package leaflet, it says
