Just Starting Out
Saw my nurologist & had a DAT scan but not on any meds yet, taking vitamins & trying the
mannitol
& B1 stuff, concerned because I have been on a diet for the last couple of weeks & I have just read that B1 needs carbs to work, can anyone confirm or deny this for me please?

Outcome of my consultant appointment
Result of
Mannitol
test was negative. However this in his opinion doesn't mean I don't have asthma. He said 4 days being off all my medication does get rid of all the steroids in your body.

Frightened
I also take a lot of supplements including Sivestrov's ldopa protocol and
mannitol
. What most concerns me is the fatigue. Exercise has been so helpful, especially with depression which I had for many years pre PD. I really don't want to reduce exercise but the fatigue is making it really hard.

Mannitol
Some people find
Mannitol
helpful. I gave it a try but unfortunately I am one of the people it doesn't agree with. I purchased 5 x 200g bottles for $50 each from The Melbourne Food Ingredient Depot. Is anyone in Australia interested in buying 4 of these from me for $130 plus postage?

Thiamine HCL and Mannitol concern
I knew that
Mannitol
was a diuretic but was unaware that Thiamine HCl was one as well until I read some recent posts here.

How to easily dissolve Mannitol and achieve,”Help me I swallowed a basketball” appearance🤓
Try stirring 1 tbsp
Mannitol
into 3oz. Ale. It instantly forms a whipped cream consistency and tastes sweet. However, there nay be some gastric discomfort following.😝

Diarrhea 😔
Hi, I have been giving my Mom
Mannitol
since last October and will keep on as she has improved on a lot of her symptoms. It hasn’t helped her mobility as yet which is the hardest on me as her caregiver but I am hopeful and being patient. I also recently started her on thiamine HCL.

Are you taking Mannitol?
To those of you on
Mannitol
NOT taking Parkinson meds, do you see improvement? If so, how long and what improvement did you get? Thank you in advance, need a bit of encouragement...

3 sugars. Mannitol, trehalose, and now xylitol!?
I should note that
mannitol
is mentioned in the beginning of the paper and
mannitol
is a well known disruptor of the BBB, and there is research on trehalose showing that it too crosses the BBB.
