Can augmentation be avoided on DA's?
I have been successfully rotating opiates for a couple of years. However, they are now causing insomnia and I feel that I need to stop taking them for a prolonged period to "reset" my brain. So I need an alternative. I can't take Gabapentin. I am aware from the horror stories on here of the dangers of

Downs Syndrome ratio?
I had my 12-week scan today, and I was absolutely overjoyed to see the little one wriggling away! Midwife/sonographer said all looked well, and she calculated the risk of downs as 'low risk' so I didn't really worry about it...until I left the appointment and started googling! And now I'm freaking out

Confused over diagnosis!
Hello all, I wonder if someone can help me, please? I went for an assessment at the local fatigue clinic yesterday, and was seen by an endocrinologist. He did a quick check of my symptoms (fatigue, generalised pain esp in lower quadrant, IBS, brain fog etc) and said, “I know what I think you have, but

Another bad night with RL. I've been up and down for four hours and it looks like being a long night! I saw the doctor today and he was really positive about removing the pramipexole and agreed that it could be augmentation which have made my symptoms worse! I will decrease the p..ole and have the reboxetine

Giving up
Okay .. so I’m going to rant. I haven’t been able to get any sleep lately and the only time I do is if I take a bunch of medication to sleep which isn’t good for me. I’m still taking the second lowest dose of mirapex and it’s not doing anything at all.. taking magnesium 200mg a night and cutting back

Has anyone tried memantine for restless legs?
I don’t have RLS, but my husband does, and I feel like it is stealing our lives. It has caused mood dysregulation and fatigue. The pramipexole he has been taking is not as effective, and I’m searching for another answer. I’m very intrigued by the glutamate hypothesis and therefore am interested in

Should there be a separate community for Palindromic Rheumatism?
Just a thought, it does have very poor resources on the net, and maybe a separate community would help others with the condition. I know it can develop into RA but only in 30 to 50% of people who have it - so it is not inevitable. Oh I was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatism in June but it has become

Spinal cord stimulator for RLS?
My pain doctor who is prescribing me my tramadol and Lyrica is considering a spinal cord stimulator as a possible way to control this. Does anybody know anything about using a spinal cord stimulator for RLS? I tried doing a search on here but nothing came up.

Hi All, I am posting to get some advice about a friend of mine. She is currently pregnant with twins (10 wks) and had her harmony/panarama tests yesterday. No restless legs
Four weeks without restless leg! How amazing! I broke my femur and have been on morphine, but now my patch has run out and it’s back with avengeance! There must be a strong painkiller that’s not addictive?

I have been almost two weeks on time release morphine 30 mg, which I take about 7 PM, and it lasts 12 hours, to help me sleep. I tried 15 mg, which worked for about 6 nights, and then worked less and less until not working at all. (During the last three months, I got off 1 mg of pramipexole, and I
