Worried about blood tests
Hi, I have had mildly elevated liver enzymes since 2019. I am female, 45, BMI 24.6 and I suffer from fibroids that cause me to have extremely heavy periods and I am often anaemic. I don’t drink or do drugs. High LFTs were first picked up during routine blood tests and my doctor said not to worry about

Anyone else have weird symptoms from cirrhosis?
Recently diagnosed with F3 fibrosis/cirrhosis. I do not yet have ascites, jaundice or esophageal bleeding, which I understand are the signs of decompensated liver. I do have extreme fatigue and weakness and dull pains in upper abdomen. I also have other weird pains everywhere. Pain in lower back, feet

Is this survivable?
During her initial admission, she was diagnosed with decompensated
liver
failure
and she has been in and out of hospital since due to issues with low blood pressure and really bad anaemia.

Ibrutinib and Hepatitis B
Hello, my 72yo dad was recently diagnosed and he’s supposed to start treatment with Ibrutinib today. He had HepB as a child and I know that is a major red flag. The doctor is not very transparent about the risks and we’re freaking out. Does anyone have experience and suggestions with this? Also what

A coarse liver?
I had an ultrasound liver scan - as my liver was damaged by taking azaphoprine that treated my ulcerative colitis. After liver biopsy They had diagnosed liver cirrhosis 4 months ago, but now ‘a coarse liver in keeping with chronic liver disease’ What does this mean? Do I still have liver cirrhosis

Hangover
75 and been a lifelong social drinker but for 18 months averaged no more than 10 units per week as I couldn't take the hangovers. Now if I have more than 4 units alc at night I need to sleep most of next day. Is this due to liver not functioning.? I have regular blood tests and no liver, kidney or other

Advice for treatment of liver metastases.
Hi Ladies I finished chemo in February for second recurrence. Unfortunately my CA125 was rising, was 9 the 27 now 55 and it's a good indicator for me that something is happening. Had a CT and it shows one tumor 2.4cms in my liver. All clear otherwise. Lots of emotions. Disappointed but relieved it's

Switching to home hemodialysis
I have been on peritoneal dialysis using a cycler, which has been wonderful, for two years. Unfortunately my clearance has been falling over the last four months and treatment increase in the amount of dextrose has caused me to gain nearly 30 lb. My clinic has me scheduled to begin training for home

Dad has stage 4 cirrhosis
Hi everyone, I have recently found out my dad has stage 4 liver cirrhosis. He isn't eligle for a liver transplant the doctors said he wouldn't be a candidate ( I think this may be because he has COPD) . I'm just so heart broken and so is my Dad. I'm trying to understand what this means for him though. Can

Elevated creatinine from tacrolimus?
I am 19 months out from my kidney transplant from a deceased donor. Was doing well and my creatinine was actually within the normal range at about a year post transplant. However, since then my creatinine has been creeping up and now is 1.74. Have tried lowering my protein intake, and more hydration

Any alcohol?
hi all I’ve been diagnosed with NAFLD. I had a fibroscan which showed a reading of 20 so possible borderline cirrhosis. However my gastro consultant said he didnt feel this was entirely accurate and it’s maybe not progressed that far yet, please god. My question is, and I think I know the answer

Defenestration or detouring of cysts in PLD
Recently went to King’s London for possible liver transplant tests due to a large polycystic liver and they feel it is the wrong time. That enough good parts of my liver remain. However it is very large and they are considering draining the cysts. Anyone out there had similar experience ? Jo
