Hi i have just started victoza to help with diabeties type 2 and to help weightloss. Has any one else had this medicine?

And we see this in the case of exenatide, where there are multiple ongoing Phase 2 trials in Parkinson’s for drugs that are very similar to exenatide (such as and lixisenatide – both of which will be reporting results in 2022).

They are called liraglutide, lixisenatide, and exenatide. This study is about exenatide. All three of these drugs are delivered by injection. (Bydureon is just a form of exenatide that you only have to take once a week, instead of daily.)

The victoza, a GLP 1 analogue, liraglutide, is available in injection form. Is it better than insulin if you have associated cardiac problems ? Is it safe drug with minimum side effects ? Any experience or suggestion.

The present medication is Victoza 0.6mg (Liraglutide) once in a day, Tresiba 12 units (degludec) once in a day, Metaformin 1000mg SR twice in day and glimperide 1mg twice in a day.  My present FBS is 105 and PPS is around 150. My HbA1C is 7.2.  My TSH is 5.9 and T3 is 99 and T4 is 6.6.   

The diabetes drug Victoza (liraglutide) has apparently eliminated non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) in a significant proportion of those treated in a recent trial, MedPage Today reports.

It's called Liraglutide (administered by injection daily) Once approved by The European Commission (which they say will go through in 2 months from now) the NHS will be able to supply this drug at a cost of £2.25 per day to it's overweight and obese patients.

At the moment I'm on Glicazide 80mg once a day; metrofmin 2 x 500mg twice a day and liraglutide injection. I'm worried that the hospital will want me to go on to insulin, which I'd rather not. Does anyone have any experience they could share? Many thanks, Cathie

Exenatide (marketed as Byetta) and liraglutide (marketed as Victoza) are synthetic GLP-1 receptor agonists now available in the market.
