My doctor said my cholesterol was 9 and put me onto 10 mg of
Lipitor
per day. It went down to 7 after a week but she wasn't happy and told me she was referring me to the hospital. My Mum had high Cholesterol and high blood pressure. I also have high blood pressure. Any info would help. Thanks Carol

NEW HEPATITIS C DRUG SHOWS HOW BIG PHARMA GOUGES SICK PEOPLE
In contrast, it took
Lipitor
, the well-known cholesterol-lowering medication, nearly a decade to reach its record-breaking $12.9 billion in sales. Harvoni's early sales numbers are golden even by big pharma standards.

Methotrexate + methylfolate= any problems?
I also take Tribenzor,
Lipitor
, Panteprazole. Aspirin81, Actonel, various vitamins etc. I was taking folic acid until I discovered I have a homozygous C677T MTHFR mutation so now I have to take methylfolate instead.

Thumbs up for being prepared
He changed me from
Lipitor
to pravachol. The coreg he says I need but we determined that the timing of when I was taking them could be the main cause for my exercising issues.

Goals
I'm taking Eliquis,
Lipitor
, Coreg, Tikosyn and Plavix. I believe sometimes that less is more. I'd like to either reduce or eliminate most of the drugs other than the anticoagulants that I need due to the stents and maybe the Tikosyn. I never took ANY meds until last year.

Also take bisoprolol and amlodipine with
Lipitor
at night. My problem is a feeling I might fall or faint caused by a momentary pause in heart rhythm. Or a missed beat. Told by my GP after tests at hospital I could have a pacemaker fitted if I find my experiences troublesome....any thoughts.?

Ever since having 2 stents inserted in 2008 I have suffered low blood pressure episodes where I regularly feel faint. Should I be concerned?
On clopidogrel, ranitidine, bisoprolol (smallest dose),
lipitor
and ramapril (smallest dose). I am female in my fifties and suffered indigestion and had no risk factors for heart disease. I wish I had never seen a cardiologist.

If one has serious side effects such as muscle cramps in lower back due to 5 mg tablet of atorvastatin what alternatives can be tried?
I was diagnosed with a high cholesterol (270) and was told to take
lipitor
5 mg per day along with diet control. This drug gave me serious and debilitating back pain.

IAPS dx March 1st after a stroke affecting my speech. I have a rheumatologist & neurologist. Do I need a hematologist too?
I am
Lipitor
(80mg), Warfarin and Paquenil 400 mg. My GP has referred me to hematologist but can't see what he can do that my rheumatologist who is a Lupus specialist and very familiar with autoimmune disease, can't do.

For those who have been diagnosed with soft plaque...
My cholesterol was 7, so they put me on
Lipitor
10mg and a baby aspirin (75mg). My memory & cognitive function has become awful. I saw my cardiologist yesterday and my cholesterol is now 4.4, with my Tot cholesterol to HDL cholesterol ratio at 3.7.

I was put on 80 mg Lipitor-generic-- after a stroke in March--experienced muscle aches and leg pains--
MD took me off of it for a week and restarted me on 10 mg. After two weeks I am experiencing the leg discomfort again. I'll call MD tomorrow. I think I should be taken off of it, but after being told I had a clot from my heart to my brain, I'm afraid to go off of it. I have APS and am also on Warfarin
