T3,only… works wonders for many…However, when do folks add T4 after being on T3 only???! What symptoms pop up?
Just wondering…. if while dosing with T3 only… what symptoms ( not bloodwork) presented themselves to suggest you needed some if only a low dose of T4… & unlike others on T3 only… you needed both to feel optimally…..rather than more T3/cytomel/
liothyronine
??? Thanks so much! Happy Spring!

Canada's Tania Sona Smith - Powerful summary of recent BTA's twitter arguments against T3
I've copied it here:
Recently on Twitter, The British Thyroid Association (BTA) has engaged in demeaning, unprofessional metaphors, comparing LT3 (
, T3) and LT4 (levothyroxine) hormone treatment to "deluxe" vs. "supasaver" ginger cookies.

Is this true?
On a facebook forum for thyroid disorders they recommend ft4 levels to be in bottom half of range with ft3 in upper part when taking both levothyroxine and
liothyronine
. This they say is because you risk getting high Reverse T3 if ft4 is in upper half of range. Is this true?

Endocrinologist wants to reduce by levo by 50mcg and double my T3... advice please
I had to wait 4 weeks for an endocrinologist appointment so 3 weeks ago I decided to increase my

Should I bother having a blood test??
After taking advice from various ones on this site to have a gene test, I was finally prescribed
liothyronine
by an endocrinologist.( 1x 3 times a day) that's all the advice he gave me btw. With no follow up.

Prescription from private endo
I saw a private endo yesterday and he said I should continue taking 100mcg levo but split the 20mcg
liothyronine
in 2. I cannot do that with what I’m currently taking (Novothyral) so he gave me a prescription and said he would send a letter to my GP.

Sodium Side effects
Hi I was on Levothyroxine for 6 months 150mg but suffered severe itching, redness around the face and eyes , had to go Private to get on
Liothyronine
40mg but still have same problem to a lesser degree, both Tablets have Sodium which seemingly can cause these Side effects.

Correct way of doing a thyroid blood test if you take liothyronine
Hi all I was writing to ask about whether anyone knows what the correct way to do a thyroid blood test is if you take
liothyronine
. I am currently on levothyroxine 100mcg/75mcg alternate and 5mcg lio twice a day (once with my levo in the morning at 8am, and once at 5.30pm).

Blood test results and advice please
Here is a table (below) of blood test results - in the well/unwell column there are different levels of wellness as I am better than say last summer but I still feel not quite right and keep wondering whether an increase in levothyroxine would be beneficial while leaving
liothyronine
dose unchanged ie
