Liothyronine

Intermittently (probably 2 or 3 times a year) the pharmacy I normally use round the corner (part of a larger chain) tells me they cannot get the Morningside Liothyronine.

Although the CMA decision regarding liothyronine still appears to be under appeal, the CMA has now fined two more companies - for the same practice but for phenytoin.

hi guys, after many years of going round and round with my nhs endo she has finally agreed to a trial of t3, as I refused to go back on t4 only. I have just received the conversion she has suggested, and wondered if anyone could offer any help/advice/input. I currently take two tablets of thyroid s daily

These were my latest blood results where I was taking 75mmcg one day and 100mcg the next and 20mcg of liothyronine,when the endo agreed to giving me the T3 he upped my levothyroxine to 100mcg a day but I just kept it at the 75/100 to see how I went,following these blood results I dropped the liothyronine

I need some advice I have been taking 75mcg thyroxine and 15 mcg Liothyronine, I am struggling with terrible knee pains, I have had ongoing physio doing the recommended strengthening exercises, I have also seen Chiropractor a few times nothing seems to work.

I am now taking 100mcg T4 (levo) and started T3 (liothyronine) but find I am very sensitive to the T3. I started with 5mcg in the morning with the T4 and have just introduced 2.5mcg in the afternoon.

It was drawn before 9 am and that was 26 hours after the last morning dose of my daily dose of 75 mcg of Levothyroxine and 5 mcg of Liothyronine.

I was starting On a trial of t3 starter dose 5 in the morning and 5 afternoon then it was put up to 10 morning and afternoon put my prescription in last week to get my meds , and they wouldn’t give me the liothyronine they said you will have to see endocrinologist to get them , I didn’t understand really

(actually laughed out loud at this one) "T4, liothyronine is the active metabolite. (Very rarely used at all these days) Mixing up the two is likely unnecessary, potentially harmful" (she obviously means T3 and has mixed up the two, which lordy, is potentially harmful!)

I’m on 100mcg levo, down from 100/125, 20mcg Liothyronine daily. Last dose 8pm yesterday, blood tests 8. 10 this morning. TSH 3.5 0.27-4.2. (Was 3.53) T3 4.4. 3.1-6.8. (Was. 4.69) T4. 20 12-22.

I always get the above brand Liothyronine from my Chemist, but now they are telling me they cannot get it. I have phoned another Chemist who is having difficulty getting any Liothyronine. Tried phoning Mercury pharma (which is apparently Advanz pharma now) and no one answering.

have s recently started taking t3 which has been an amazing . over the past 3 weeks I've been so hot (i know the weather hasn't helped) that im like a cartoon character - sweat literally dripping off me. Has anyone else experienced this, if so how do you stop it. I have read that this can happen

Do I really have to take the Levo along with it, or will the Liothyronine be enough? Just a general question on the physiology of it, I can post blood results if anyone thinks they're relevant. Thanks in advance for any help and/or information.

Hello everyone hope your all keeping well, haven’t been on lately, would like your opinion please, endocrinologist is trying me on liothyronine, I was on 200 thyroxine, he put it down to 150 and started me on liothyronine 5 in the morning and 5 later on, my test before starting were TSH 0.57 (0.27-4.2

Have been prescribed liothyronine by the private endocrinologist. I started taking teva 10 micrograms plus 100 mg of levothyroxine 6 weeks ago and my t3 is high now and t4 suppressed. Should i reduce my levo dose. I am worried now that i am taking too much. I have attached my recent blood test.

I'm just wondering if there's any negative interactions that anyone knows of between vyvanse (and other adhd meds) and liothyronine and synthroid (levothyroxine) thanks so much for your help

doesn't look like WP is coming back in stock which I was doing ok on, I made the GP refer me bk to and endo but I have to wait till September so I am looking for different options to try get my TSH under 1.5 till then how many pills of 300mg do people normally take as I was on 50 of levo and 5 of liothyronine

I’ve been taking levo and liothyronine since September - initially prescribed by a Romanian endo and then prescribed by the private endo I’m seeing. My blood test results look good but my TSH is low (<0.01) and I know this is the first thing he’ll say.

I received a letter today from my GP in Scotland, stating that my prescription will change from Liothyronine tablets to Lyothyronine hard capsules as per “local policy”. I have no idea about “local policy” and can only think that absorption issues might be the reason for the change.
